McRennett Cakes — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Have always loved mcrennet but since nothing in my area i decided to visit here as i was in city. Love their pastries always and when asked to pack I specifically asked the lady at counter if cake was fresh as only few pieces available and she said its very fresh and agreed and took it

When i reached home i realised the cake i checked for was actually stale and very hard.

Be very careful what you buy from them. They tend to cheat as you cant really feel the cake before buying. The veg puff was also pathetic and not the standards of mcrennet have had in earlier days

Bad...

The shop is good, but the service is very poor. The man and especially the woman treated customers badly. The lady was judging us based on our outfits, which is completely unprofessional.

Is that the right way to treat customers?

On 29/07/2025, my friend and I came to the shop to buy some snacks. While we were placing our order, the lady ignored us and focused on other customers who came after us even though they ordered the same snacks we did.

We ordered first, but she served them before us.

One of the oldest bakeries in Chennai. I usually go for their pista cream cakes and puffs. The taste has remained the same. There's a nostalgic taste in the cream and the consistency of the cakes, Dil pasand and the puffs. They also have a variety of the usual breads and biscuits. There will be so many parents buying snacks for their children on their way back...
