What Makes It Awesome
What started as a mere pop-up store operating out of flea markets in the parking lots of London's underground metro stations to make money to buy a pair of sneakers, has now become a chain that made its way to Indian shores too. Spread across Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Ludhiana, Vijayawada, Milkshake And Co. has now opened its doors to Chennai in a quiet lane opposite Besant Nagar beach next to Barista (you will miss it if you don't keep an eye out for it!). Operating out of quite a tiny space with cute yet funky interiors, the shop can accommodate upto 11-12 people at any given point of time. They serve lip-smacking thick milkshakes (choose between original, chocolate, fruity, real fruit and confectionary), lemonades, cold coffees and a variety of fries and burgers to satiate your palate (and soul, of course). Our picks for the evening were Elderflower Lemonade (so refreshing it could give Chennai's fresh air a run for its money), Hazelnut Cold Coffee (we couldn't believe how tasty this was), the Veggie Deluxe Burger and their Jalapeño Cheese fries. The fries are out-of-this-world (almost literally; they're fresh, crisp and long). The Beardcrumb Milkshake is a heavenly mix of Nutella and chocolate (hello, chocolate lovers) which was our favourite from the evening. Most of their milkshakes are priced at INR 190 for 450 ml, which we think is absolute value-for-money for the quality offered. The best part? You can carry their quirky tin packages (fries, lemonades and cold coffees) back home with you and use it for storing your favourite items or just add to the decor of your personal corner at home. So, when are you shaking things up?

It is already a huge hit among the crowds for its innovation, not just in shakes but their packaging too. They provide reusable and take-away tins for fries, lemonades and cold coffees. Each one so quirky and lovely in its own way.
The place is very cute and well lit with an open kitchen. These cute little tins are stacked so well on the sides. You will surely keep ordering more to get more tins home.
We tried:
Ghostly Ghost Shake: It is a blend of coffee, and hazelnut. It was so delicious and was also served in a cup with a visual of a ghost peeping at you! The shake was topped off with some thick & delicious in-house whipped cream, and cake crumbs. Heavenly. The thickest shake in town.
Nutty Professor Shake: Nutella and Peanut-butter do go hand in hand and this was well made here as well. Topped off with some green crumbs and thick cream, this shake was complete. Absolutely toothsome.
Veg Deluxe Burger: For a meat eater, this might seem as a complete disappointment as they don’t serve meat in there. Nevertheless the burger was good but lacked a bit of punch.
Cajun Chilli Fries: Fresh, crisp and long fries with Cajun spices was extremely appetising. Definitely the best fries I have had lately.
On the whole, this place is worth all the hype. It is a must visit place and is definitely...
Read moreHave tasted a lot of milkshakes, thickshakes for the past 2-3 years...But the milkshakes here are just amazzzzing...Reason behind these words are very simple, that milkshakes served here have good consistency, quality and taste. Most importantly the cream which they use as toppings in all their milkshakes.
They serve lemonades and fries in reusable tins, which is highly appreciated. Seems a good alternative for the use of plastics and also something cute to carry around when you're in beach or anywhere else...
It'll be good if I use the word unique for the varieties of shakes in their menu. Its not like the usual chocolate, belgian chocolate, vanilla or strawberry...But they have mixed flavours, which tastes yummmmm...
Their burgers also tasted good...I had Tempura Paneer, which was spicy and scrumptious...
The owner was very friendly and explained us about each flavours and also suggested us the best in their menu. He also mentioned that, all the ingredients are imported to maintain the quality in shakes & even in their fries...
Overall, it was a great experience having these quality milkshakes. Eventhough there are many milkshakes & thickshake outlets in city, am sure this place is a must try if you want to experience some unique & quality milkshakes, fries...
