I think they might've changed the location of the shop because it looks a little different from what i saw in the pictures but it was great nonetheless.
The food was fanatstic, cant complain at all me and my friends loved it and the ramen cost somewhere between 200, they would even give you chop sticks if you ask for it (aside from the fork and spoon they give)but it was harder to eat with them than i thought. the chicken devil tamen bowl was too spicy to even my friend's standards who has a great spice tolerance in general. chicken bologonese tamen bowl was the best of the lot, would totally recommend it!!
The ambience wasnt th best nor the worst, it was meh but the high rise chairs and tables were amazing. It could get really hot in there at times too the point you'd be profusely sweating as you eat your hot and spicy ramen.
The place was super clean but what was super off putting was that when we were eating little bugs(baby cockroaches i think) occasionally came out of the corners. That was like a massive drawback, i wish i could've told the staff about it but i was too busy getting back home.
Another huge or tiny problem is that when we were eating sales kids came up to us trying to sell what they had it took a really long time for the staff to notice that and ask them to leave. I'm not sure if it happens regularly but it did happen to us so a little heads up!
The place did not have water jars, if we want water we must buy it for rs20. I dont if its like a common thing in chennai but i did not like that at all especially considering how spicy the ramen is and they weren't even generous with the amount of tissues they gave, infact they did not give it at all we had to go ask for it. I do understand that there are measures to cut operating cost but some of these are outrageous man.
Other than that this is a great place to hang out with friends, its super fun! The beach is right next to the shop and there are a lot of other shops nearby too where we can go after...

I recently visited TAMEN - The Local Ramen Shop located in Besant Nagar, and I must say, it was a delightful experience. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the superb food they served, leaving me completely satisfied and craving for more.
The ramen bowls at TAMEN were a true delight. Bursting with flavor, each bite was a symphony of taste. The broth was rich and aromatic, perfectly complementing the tender noodles and the assortment of fresh toppings. I was particularly impressed by the generous portion sizes, which exceeded my expectations. For ramen lovers like me, it was a true paradise.
However, I must admit that the cleanliness of the place raised some concerns. It seemed that they were understaffed, as there were delays in clearing the leftover plates and ensuring a tidy dining environment. It would be beneficial for TAMEN to address this issue and allocate sufficient manpower to maintain cleanliness throughout the day.
Also, they did not provide plain water in their dine in restaurant, which they should reconsider and provide water for all the diners. We went during sunday night, which is a peak hour, we did not get seating space inside, we stood outside. The tables were not cleaned, the leftover plates were lying on all the tables.
If you are planning to go on weekends, please be cautious of people asking for charity (Kids especially), there will be many. The kids' behaviours were rude while asking for food or money and it made the experience of people who are standing outside, even worser.
TAMEN - The Local Ramen Shop is definitely a must-try for ramen enthusiasts. The incredible flavors and ample portions make it a go-to place for a satisfying meal. While improvements in cleanliness and customer experience would be welcomed, the exceptional food overshadows this inconvenience. I highly recommend giving TAMEN a visit to experience their delectable ramen...
