This was my second visit to this restaurant. As a Mallu in Chennai, I'm always on the hunt for good Kerala food, and this place does a decent job of offering a Kerala-inspired menu. This time, I tried their non-veg meals. Honestly, there’s not much to rave about—it's your regular veg meals with an extra helping of fish curry (sardine/mathi). The parotta, however, deserves a shoutout—it was fluffy, sizeable, and cooked just right. Unfortunately, the beef pepper masala was a total miss. I probably should have stuck to a safer option like the beef curry or something else, but curiosity got the better of me 😁 The place tends to get crowded, so be prepared for a bit of a wait during peak hours. Overall, it’s an okay-ish spot, worth a try if you’re craving Kerala flavors in Chennai. Just don’t set your expectations sky-high, and you should be fine!

If you're a fan of Kerala-style cuisine, this place is worth a visit. The restaurant offers a variety of traditional dishes that are sure to satisfy your cravings. Beef enthusiasts will particularly appreciate the rich flavors of their beef curry, which pairs excellently with the flaky paratha. Don't miss out on the Malabar Biriyani, a fragrant and flavorful dish that's a highlight of their menu. Additionally, the kadalai curry is a must-try, offering a deliciously spiced chickpea curry that embodies the essence of Kerala's culinary heritage. Overall, it's one of the better spots for authentic Kerala cuisine.

A little lovely Kerala restaurant. All their dishes are decently priced. They have all kinds of veg&non-veg options. Staff is very polite and their service is fast too. The aroma of fresh food cooked in coconut oil is just amazing..Porottas& Appams are among best one..and the chicken and beef were so soft, tasty and tender. Like, one curry can be shared by two people easily. Yummy food. Please go try this place everyone.

The place is dingy, it doesn't look very appealing aesthetically, and it looks like little more than a traditional Mallu mess... Why then does it get 4 stars?

The beef ullarthiyathu that's available here is made to a flavour that I've never tasted anywhere else - not in the plentiful restaurants of Kerala that I've been to, nor the many households where it's made (including my own).

I wouldn't call it the BEST version of the dish, but it definitely is different enough to warrant its own position as something that's a must-try for the beef-lovers in Madras.

Parottas were made to expectation, but a word of caution about their veg stew - it's really nothing to write home about, and we wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Staff are friendly and courteous, as is the case in most such...
