Salem RR Biryani - Mahalakshmi Nagar Branch — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Bought 10-11 ppl bucket chicken briyani and the taste was ok-ish. Quality of the food is good. But, we eat briyani for taste at least i eat for taste. So, expectation isn't satisfied. It was a get together bday party but, ppl didn't like the food for its taste. When comes to pieces, mostly it was the breast pieces on the whole which will never blend with the masala of briyani and, had just one leg piece. Food was hot and didn't hurt our tummy later but, 3 stars is just for the lack of taste. Packing was good. Staff behavior was not good and was not bad either. It was like very practical and not actually customer friendly (At least the staff could see, when a customer enters). He didn't care much about us but did what has to be done (mechanically), and answered questions with a sigh. Overall, a ok-ok type retaurant. With stomach friendly food. Need Taste? then this is not the place for you. Actually, their masala is too thick that it sometimes wont blend with the rice and they get collected in one place. It will look like a giant chicken piece for first look but, when you examine, it won't be meat or rice its pure masala that's been accumulated as such. Any rice in contact with that will have strong cinnamon essence along with tomato and chilly curry. So, a portion of your food will be wasted. Food quantity is more. Actually, with one pack of briyani 2 ppl of average eaters will be satisfied. It was Rs.2600 for 10-11 person chicken briyani bucket along with 5 big pieces of fried chicken. Please don't go to this place or buy any biryani here via food apps. After a long time, i visited this place on 3rd sep 2024 for lunch. I saw rats running in the dining, biryani and cleaning area. Just came out after complaining and they didn't even bother. Coz most of their orders were via online where customers don't get evaluate their food prep or packing area. I have started eating at Salem RR from 2004, when they had a small outlet near poondi bazaar, e.tambaram. Me and my friends had 1 mandatory goal during Sunday's. Have RR biryani. It used be just 35 rupees. But I have stopped visiting RR during last 4 years due to their poor taste. Seems after becoming icon in food industry, their owner has stopped monitoring their product quality and taste. Visited RR at camp road today. Spent 370, for their mutton biryani and Pepsi. Taste was pathetic. They are surviving with the help of people who want more quantity. Worst thing is it's not even prepared with basmati. It's combined with normal rice. This will be my last visit...

When it comes to biriyani it will be competitive and expectations is more i accept to it But it rate point of view if the food is not worth the money we give then it is bad

Biriyani rate is extremely high I'm saying about normal biriyani But there is only limited amount of pieces No eggs were given If we ask for curd onion more than one time they are saying something differently

Quality of biriyani is not worth and worst part is biriyani rate is 200/- plus but no piece waste of money even in street food biriyani they are giving good pieces

Other items rate is too much costly for one omlette they charge 30 /-

Salem RR owner came to this level with only low and middle class people's but if u charge like this u will lose ur customer but I don't think he doesn't care about that in neeya naana he Frankly told about his networth but he fails to inspect his branch properly
