Tempt Asian, Dinner Buffet Review:
Staff were polite, helpful, and had their eyes & ears open for customers. Crowd, about 30pax, mostly family with toddlers and aged parents, also couples.
Dinner Buffet was priced at INR 999+tax, approx Net. INR 1178.
Taste - no complaints, above average, and nothing extraordinary.
Seating, Lighting, Temperature and Ambience: Centralised Air-conditioning and seating arrangements are not in perfect sync, so most tables are receiving high chilled air throughput, live counter orders such as roti, kotthu parrota gets very cold in less than 5 mins after reaching the table. Seats are comfortable, lighting is apt, distance between tables re also quite fine. However 1 on 5 for the dine-in experience due to the HVAC AND Table arrangement.
Lets come to the Food, the core: Starters Hot & Cold Salad, both had about 3 non-veg, no mutton, only chicken and basha fish. Veg had Corn-Cheese balls, Mushroom, and harabara kebab.
Main Course had Chicken Biryani with Raitha, Fish Gravy with Rice, South Indian Chicken curry for Roti and Naan to order. In veg there was poriyal, rasam, curd, blak gram gravy, mushroom gravy, panner gravy. I may have missed few, chek out the photos and item names to get a clear idea.
Salads: I liked all of their fresh cut salad, as well as the vinegar dips, olives both green and black. Cold salads including Russian Salad, Prawn Brocolli Salad, carrot with mushroom in a red sauce was also good. Berries were included. This section is the highlight of the dinner buffet. Good Job.
Desserts: Coconut Mouse was great, expected Chocolate Pudding with ice-cream to be great, but that was average, banacake had heavy taste from a syrup they used, it was dominating. Indian Boondhi Laddu, Coconut Burfi, Ramalai were also included but I did not taste them.
Overall 4 on 5 for buffet spread, food taste, service, and attention to customers. Ambience to be improved specifically attention to the table arrangement or air-conditioning...

First of all the buffet is not in an organised manner. One would look to go with soup, starters, main course and desserts. That's not the case here. Everything was just random and veg and non veg were just nearby.
Soup was pretty good. Starters were too disappointing for an buffet like this. Both veg and non veg had very limited set of starters.
Main course was little good but just not much varieties here too.
Desserts were even worse. They have the ice cream but they don't show or provide you with one unless you ask them. Luckily when we went, we noticed the ice creams on one of the nearby tables and asked them to provide us. But the ice cream quality was also not good.
Also, they just had lot of raw veggies, some dry fruits, a big cake (very bad that it would be better if they have not kept it there on the table) and many other small small items on the table. Most of them are just kept so that you just concentrate on them instead of the starters and the main course.
I must say that this is the worst buffet we had in coimbatore for...
Read moreVery poor spread Starters very less quantity on buffet counter Need to ask 3 times to refill. Why can't you guys put the nonveg starters enough quantity in the counter with a appropriate vessel. Need to ask 3 times for hot water Staff are very unorganised Except Sripriya all other staff are not showing interest in service. Ice creams not in the counter need to order and wait for 15mts Taking time even to get the bill. Why can't you guys give 2 biriyani on nonveg we pay 1000 Rs per head and you guys keep 1 biriyani and starters on very minimal portion and we need to beg for it to refill?
Service staff need to be given enough rest or break. The guy muthu literally fails to clear plates and ask for anything wanted.
They don't even ask whether we want anything from live counters and naan or roti.
Better stop promoting this Tempt asian...
