Great food and amazing service. Go there only if you are foodie! It was as if you went to a close relative’s wedding. The service was fast, very efficient, very personal and it was served w genuine care. Loved the food. Listen to the server’s recos. It so sweet of them to do so. It wasn’t as spicy as a traditional Andhra meal which worked out great for me. It was the right spice level which I could handle. Everything was wonderful except the Kesari which I wouldn’t rate. But who cares about dessert in an Andhra restaurant, right? Be prepared, it’s really crowded and this is not a place to sit, relax and eat. It’s good to go w a couple of friends, 4 people would be ideal that way you can have a table for yourself. It was an amazing experience. We were early so we got lucky, got seated fast and we were out in 30 min max that was including the wait time, again we went as soon as they opened. By the time we came out after eating there was a big line. The owner is super nice. Don’t go there and rate their ambience. If you do, you don’t deserve to go there!😀Go there only for the food and service. It was fun. Went w my brother and my cousins. We were all very happy. A must-try if you are a sucker for sit down traditional meals! Parking can be super hard. So take a cab/Uber/Ola. Where comfortable clothes and nothing very fancy. It’s a super informal setting. FYI- They take only CASH, no GPay of credit cards....

For authentic Andhra style meal, I strongly recommend this place. Being a Chef myself, I have a set POV when it comes to trying out different cuisines. In Chennai there are many places who serve Andhra cuisine, but National Lodge is my first choice for Homely meal. Their hospitality is impeccable. You feel as if you are eating in a marriage, they serve with lots of love and warmth. To start, piping hot rice, podi, ghee and pappu.. followed by amazing Sambhar and rice.. then arrived their speciality morkolam ( kadhi).. a crush the stuffed fried chili on top and enjoy those amazing flavours. 2 chutneys and an outstanding lemon pickle to compliment your meal along with appalam, thick homemade curd or a glass of buttermilk. Don't forget to have their veeda (paan) once u finish meal. Such simplicity in their food. I am completely impressed. ( Please ignore the ambiance... U ain't dinning at a Michelin...

To all the foodie's out there, if you are craving for some south indian home styled food then you have got to visit Nationals. The staffs are very active and friendly and ensure, you eat your heart's content. Their service is also amazing, they dont make you wait at all. Meals is a must try dish and their quantity is very much sufficient, they begin to serve rice with poodi and pappo dal which textures soo well. Followed by a list of south indian meals

curry which all is very appetizing. The ambiance may not be that favorable and you'll always find the place crowded. There's no dine in on sundays, only deliveries are made. And they have a quite decent place for parking. Four wheelers cannot be parked near the hotel. They have their main branch in Anna Salai near LIC where they also serve tiffin intems.
