Dhabba Express — Restaurant in Zone 13 Adyar

I am forced to write this.Last night I had been to this place with my friend and her mother. Making them settle down I asked to place the order in the meantime i went to use the washroom..After 5 minutes when I headed back my friend said her mother is not feeling comfortable with the fragrance of the room spray and it was way too suffocating ..So i immediately told her we can go somewhere all are comfortable with.So i took my bad and walked out with them but here is what happend. There comes a restaurant staff not to be named commenting loudly in Hindi to to his friend please write in a big board this is not a public toilet and you just can't walk out using the toilet..Well i knew Hindi and knowing the fact that i had my friend and her mother i did not retaliate back but this just damaged the reputation of the restaurant.Well anyone from the staff could have asked us why were we leaving instead they assumed that we came to use their washroom.Well i do agree that would be the first though but guys after this incident i have decided i will never enter that place again.The place is not at...

I had visited this place with a person (two persons in total) and had ordered vegeterian food.

I am going to list out the negatives, positives (if any) will be listed in the end.

The Bad: Apart from VAT and Govt. Service tax , the bill had a component 'Service Charge', which amounted for 10% of bill value. 2.Poor service. I had a hard time getting attention of staff. Even after repeated requests I was not provided with a tumbler. Also, the items were not served as requested, in fact it was my third reminder which made things in place. All the staff seemed extremely busy even when more than half of the tables were empty. Drinking water is not readily served. It seemed as if a customer is expected to order bottled water. After asking I was given a jug full of water but no tumbler. See point 2. Quantity and quality of food was not worth the price. IMO I paid a little too much for the food there. Poor ambience. Wash area was poorly maintained. WCs were dysfunctional and wall partition between wash basin and WC was missing.

The Good: Groups and families were being paid...

Last Sunday which is on 11/06/23 I had went for lunch , one of worst places I’ve ever had my food till now haven’t been into such restaurant , they just spoil the name of Dhaba express by running this local restaurant Even road side shop will give u much of good service , The main points to be noted are as 1.) Ac doesn’t work, only fans run if we ask him he will say only light cooling will come and just barge off , that too in scrotching heat only in fan we need to have our food. 2.)We ordered one veg starter and non veg starter He said for prawn cheesy fries He said cheese khatam hogaya sir and gave only the prawns and also for chilli panner we order we asked mint chutney for that he said Mixie karab hai sir In a hotel will you hear all this words so absurd 3.) when we ordered roti and gravy we asked for some onion to eat along Onion khatam hogaya Guys just don’t go there if 0 option was a star would have given that absolutely useless restaurant and not worth for a bill of 1700/- Try some nearby places...
