Abusing animals in the name of business.
My daughter was missing her dog, and was excited when she saw a dog theme restraunt. We decided to walk in. And what we saw there shattered/ broke our heart. If you really love dogs and cats, and you want to teach your kids the right way of petting animals, pls do not visit this place.
This is pure animal abuse and complete wrong way of handling little creatures.
Dogs were terrified & tired seeing so many people around. Caretakers have no sense of handling these animals with love, instead they were abusing them. We found them shouting and throwing stuffs at dogs (Hitting dog with ball / putting hat & covering dogs face in the name of entertaining people). Caretakers were teaching all wrong things to kids who are there to play with dogs. There is no orientation “Dos and don’t” shared with people while entering. Little kids are excited seeing the dogs, and they were mishandling them. We saw few kids lifting the dog in wrong way, dropping them on floor, dragging its tail/ legs, pulling fur. Parents/ caretakers who are around had no courtesy to tell/ teach kids the right way to pet animals. When we confronted a parent on what their child was doing, she reacted to us saying - we are upsetting them, they all had come to celebrate, and have a good time. What are you celebrating??? Abusing animal, and taking joy out of it ?? Seriously. This broke our heart fully 💔 Some dogs would curl up under our legs, helplessly. They don’t want to be touched or petted , they want to be left alone. And to see kids go crazy on these tired souls, is so painful to watch. Anyone who has pets will be able to sense their pain. My 10 year old could not handle what they were doing, and started crying. She was fuming saying this is not right, they cannot do this to poor animals. We walked out of the place in few mins - FRUSTRATED. The incident had affected my daughter deep & she was not ready to leave the place without making her point to Managers. She also confronted the caretaker she saw abusing the dog, saying what he did was wrong - But he was not ready to accept. We asked the team to share the owner’s details to complain, instead they asked us to leave our review on Google.
I was happy to see our city with more Pet themed places/ restraunt, but this experience, proved me wrong. We have long way to go, create awareness, how to really care, love these creatures and let them live their life. This is definitely not run by people who loves/ care for pets, and should be banned / closed.
If you know any animal activist, higher officials who could take actions, pls do share...
Read moreWent to twisty tails with my friends.was excited to see the cats. Had food from the restaurant, and it wasn't bad. As we entered the cat area, noticed that most of the cats were not active, but rather looked sad and dull, some of them were even aggressive. went during afternoon and the cats were trying to sleep but the caretakers would constantly disturb them and force them out of the cat trees to interact with people. The cats were not sociable and detested being pet by people, obviously due to the fact that they were being forced to allow petting nd being moved around people like toys. The families that had come with kids were lifting the cats and handing them out to kids, while the kids were handling them with love, the cats were clearly agitated and starting to get aggressive. The cats that were seen napping in the corners or not interacting with guests were being forced to mix in with the crowd. Only 1 litter box was provided for abt 20 cats and same goes for food and water bowl. The cats were clearly sick and were not taken care of. It also felt lyk the caretakers had exploited the products to make their furs too soft, and resulted in abnormal hairfall. Their nails had also been clipped and this resulted in the cats being aggressive and using their teeth to defend themselves. One of the cats sat down on my friend's lap and before leaving when v tried to get her off his lap,she bit us trying to defend herself and to not let us pick her up . After that while visiting the dogs, they were lethargic and obviously been fed too many treats from all the people who were visiting the place.once again the caretakers were forcing the dogs to do tricks and not letting them rest. Just like cats the dogs that were lying down or napping were forced to get up and interact with guests. The dogs too were not taken care of and were in a pitiable condition, an abnormal amount of hairfall for dogs as well. The worst was the fact that very little space was provided for 20-25 cats and dogs. Little ventilation was around which meant that there was a lot of fur floating in the air, causing to to smell musty as well. While the idea is a good one,due to poor execution one feels worse after visiting the cafe and cannot help but feel that we are encouraging the I'll treatment of these poor animals by advertising, hyping and visiting these places. The animals were being treated like toys, with the caretakers themselves not giving much care to how the animals were being...
Read moreI visited the restaurant on a Tuesday afternoon around 12 and the crowd was pretty decent on a weekday. Firstly, the restaurant gives you a very good ambient environment. It literally feels like home (it's a bunglow converted into a restaurant is what I've heard about it). The attenders had were very kind and friendly helping me and my friends choose our dishes.
Note: If you're looking for Pizzas, it's available after 3 PM.
Coming to the food! The food is a little pricey but it's worth the taste. Fries, breads were a little oily and too much to take but there's always a good drink to even it up and make your tummy have no worries. (Diet freaks do take a note)
The interiors of the restaurant were amazing. There were many pictures of dogs and a lot of mirrors wherever you go(I don't know if that's supposed to be funny when it's placed next to a picture of a dog or it's just weird when there's a lot of mirrors hanging around)
And finally, the main attraction of Twisty tails, the cute little puppies which make even a grown up heart-like-stone man go awww 😭♥️.
There's a little play field outside the restaurant where the puppies usually are let to play with each customer. In the afternoons if it's sunny the puppies are inside a shed where customers can sit and spend time with them. There were totally 8 of them and three different breeds. They don't harm anyone but they'll make it to your Instagram wall. Customers get to spend around 15-20 mins with the pups and give them dog biscuits!
Happy, you're my favorite pup! ♥️
An overall fun experience with at the TT -...
