Maharashtrat rahun kolhapuri nahi khalla tr kai khallat? . Well well for this you didn't have to go anywhere , here this resto comes for rescue when the craving of kolhapuri food are not taken lightly ! This small resto located in prime area of thane is all about authentic kolhapuri taste and flavours . The restaurant is actually a extension of Shetkari hotel in kolhapuri which is there since 18 years and now it's ruling here !
The restaurant has very limited seating and servers also the menu comes with really limited delicacies but let me tell you its Worth visiting here as we all know great things come with small packages ! This place is strictly for food lovers ! Brightly litup place has seatings limited but very comfortable and Staff with curtious behavior making us feel homely .
Talking about food being MAHARASHTRIAN it will be a obivious statement that I love spicy and desi Food , but trust me once you tried it here ,you will crave for more! The resto serves special thalis which comes in variety such as chicken thali, veg thali , mutton thali, egg thali which comprises jawar bhakari, solkadhi, pandhara rassa tambda rassa! and some starter such as chicken fry , chicken kharda, mutton fry etc .
What i had - The restaurant welcome us with Kokum Sharbat which was a really sweet gesture and good to start with
Chicken kharda- Its a typical Mirchi chya thechyat banvlela chicken kharda from kolhapur ! Its usual judgement of people when they heard kolhapuri by saying it as spicy , but let me tell you its not - this dish tasted so comforting and satisfying as it was perfectly cooked with right spices and core flavours of kolhapur making it right to eat and to have mouthful of flavours .
CHICKEN THALI - consist of CHICKEN fry - the Fry made with appropriate condiments and traditional ingredients making it capable to do justice with the restaurant's name!
JAWARICHI BHAKARI - The bhakari is served hot right out of the pan to make you crave for more!
TAMBDA RASSA- It was just exactly as it should be ! Full of traditional flavours and complimented the thali well
PANDHARA RASSA- i haven't tried this before and it was first time i tried and absolutely love this one , this is so so famous from the ages ,and have heard many times from others and i hadn't expect that it would taste like this!
SOLKADHI This is a googly one! As it looks deceptive - ( you will believe that it's a strawberry flavored and sweet kinda dish after looking at it) Here I can say- don't trust your eyes trust on your tastebuds 🤣 After having a sip of it , i was surprised (reason is mentioned already) but it was a good surprise though! Somewhat sweet and sour kinda taste it has which i could relate to masala chash but way more Better than chash ! . . Mind you kolhapuri is not just spicy its a unique kinda taste , Mumbaikars should not miss this one! Also as i not mentioned earlier this place is damn pocket Friendly! .
Small suggestion for resto- i believe in tasty food as well as ambience which make people to crave more and have the food , so if the area could get extended than it exists it will be more comfortable for you costumers!

The restaurant's design pays homage to rustic Maharashtrian culture, featuring traditional motifs and earthy tones that create a welcoming atmosphere. The dim lighting and wooden accents set the stage for a cozy meal that feels both homely and festive.
On our visit, we opted for the Mutton Thali and the Mutton Black Thali, and they did not disappoint. The thalis were generously portioned, showcasing an array of flavors and textures that truly celebrate Kolhapuri cuisine.
The standout was the Mutton Black Thali, which featured a rich and aromatic black curry, perfectly spiced and beautifully tender. The mutton was cooked to perfection, soaking up the robust flavors of the tamba pandraa rassaa. Accompanying it was a side of bhakari—thick, unleavened bread that paired excellently with the curry, offering a satisfying bite.
The egg gravy added another layer of indulgence to the meal, with its creamy consistency complementing the spiciness of the curries. The inclusion of curd and onions provided a refreshing contrast, balancing the rich flavors beautifully. We also enjoyed the solkadi, a tangy and cooling drink made from coconut milk and kokum, which was a delightful palate cleanser amidst the spices.
The rice, sprinkled with cashews, was a pleasant surprise. Each grain was fluffy and aromatic, making it a perfect base for the various dishes.
Service was prompt and attentive, with the staff eager to recommend their favorites and ensure our dining experience was seamless. They embodied the warmth and hospitality one expects from a traditional eatery, adding to the overall enjoyment of our meal.

The highlight is the Tambada Rassa (spicy red curry) and Pandhara Rassa (milder white curry), which offer a perfect balance of heat and flavor. The thali is completed with sides like fresh salads, pickles, and a sweet dish, typically a delectable Shrikhand or Puran Poli.
