A True Taste of Maharashtra!

I recently dined at Varsha's AM and was absolutely blown away by the authentic Maharashtrian flavors. From the moment we walked in, the homely and inviting ambiance set the perfect tone for a memorable meal.

We started with the Stuffed Pomfret fry and chicken Sukkha, both of which were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. The Chicken Kharda was a standout, with its spicy flavors that left us craving more. The live roti counter is a testament of their dedication of serving the breads fresh just out of the pan. The dishes were a feast for the senses, offering a delightful variety of dishes that showcased the diversity of Maharashtrian cuisine.

The service was impeccable, with the owner and staff being both attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. They made excellent recommendations and ensured that we had everything we needed.

To top it all off, the Gulab Jam and Puran Poli were the perfect end to a fantastic meal. Each bite was a testament to the restaurant's commitment to authenticity and quality.

मी या होटल मध्ये जेवायला गेलो असता जेवणामध्ये केस आढळला, मालकांच्या लक्षात आणून दिले तर त्यानी सदर ताट किचनमध्ये घेऊन जाऊन केस ताटातून काढून तेच ताट १ मिनिटाच्या आत पुन्हा आणून दिले मला समजावण्यात आले की हे नवीन ताट बनवून दिलाय तुम्हाला, परंतु जेवणातला केस जुनेच ताट तुम्ही देताय, मी वकील असून तुम्ही जे हेराफेरी / लपवा लपवी करताय (आधीच्या ताटाला २०-२५ मुनीत लागलेले हे १ मिनिटात दिले) ते आम्ही दररोज पाहतोय / पकडतोय, तुम्ही मला फसवू शकत नाही असा बोलल्यावर मालक माझ्याशी वाद घालायला लागले, तर वाद नको म्हणून आणि मला उशीर होत असल्याने तसेच जेवणाला ३:३०-४:०० वळजले म्हणून मी ती मटण मसाला ताट कॅन्सल करण्याची विनंती केली. मालक त्यासाठी तयार झाले, मी जेवण झाल्यावर बिल देवून निघून गेलो.

मालकाने वर दिलेल्या रिव्यु ला रिप्लाय मध्ये बोलत आहेत की, १) मी ऑर्डर कॅन्सल करण्याची ट्रिक वापरली (जर मला ऑर्डर कॅल्सल करायची असती तर मी ऑर्डर दिलीच का असती?) २) काही लोक फुकट खाण्यासाठी अश्या ट्रिक वापरतात (फुकट खाणारे लोक खाल्ल्यानंतर केस दाखवतील, मी ताट टेबल वर आल्याबरोबर, जेवण ना खाता ताबडतोब जेवणात मोठा केस असल्याचं लक्षात आणून दिलं होतं) ३) माझ्या निगेटिव रिव्यु ने काही फरक पडत नाही (मालक स्वतःची चूक आणि उद्धटपणा झाकण्यासाठी कस्टमर ची गरज नाही हे दाखवत आहे) ४) त्यानी मला पुन्हा डिश बनवून देऊ बोललं (दुपारच्या जेवणाला ३:३० झाले होते वरून पहिली डिश आर्धा तासाने भेटली पुन्हा अर्धा तास थांबणे शक्य नसल्याने सदर डिश रद्द केली) मालक बोलत आहेत की मला पैसे द्यायचे नव्हते म्हणून मी सदर डिश रद्द केली, यांना जेवणात केस असताना ग्राहकांनी तसंच जेवण खावं किंवा न खाता पण याना फुकटचे पैसे द्यावेत ही अपेक्षा असावी बहुतेक. ५) मी यांना धमकी दिली असे खोटं बोलत आहेत, (माझी नम्र विनंती आहे की खरच मी धमकी दिली असेल, यांच्याकडे पुरावे (cctv footage) आहे तर माझ्याविरुद्ध कायदेशीर कारवाई करावी.

I recently visited for lunch at this hotel, and unfortunately, the experience did not live up to the ‘authentic’ name. From the start, the owner’s and staff’s behavior came off as extremely arrogant and unwelcoming. It felt as if they didn’t value their customers at all.

Very disappointing experience at this place. Google Reviews can sometimes be misleading, as they are mainly posted by close family members or friends and it’s frustrating when they don’t match reality. The average food quality and unfriendly staff can really impact the dining experience, even if the prices are fair for the area.

I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a friendly and respectful...

Absolutely Disappointing Mutton Thali

Tried the mutton thali expecting a hearty, flavorful meal — but it turned out to be one of the worst food experiences I’ve had. The mutton was overcooked, dry, and lacked any real flavor. The curry was watery and bland, with zero depth or spice — it tasted like someone just threw random ingredients together without any thought. Even the accompaniments were subpar: rice was clumpy, the chapatis were hard and chewy, and the sides felt like an afterthought.

For the price, this was a complete letdown. If this is what they serve as a "specialty," I dread to think what the rest of the menu is like. Definitely not recommending this place to anyone who enjoys actual good non-veg food. Avoid the mutton thali unless you're into flavorless, overpriced...
