We went to Mani's cafe by 9:00pm after visiting Ranganathswamy temple and the hotel is around 300 m away from South gate of the temple. It's a very small tables and stools from yesterday years and takes order in chalk piece and chalk board. They offered food in banana leaf. They provided a complimentary pineapple kesari, we followed it with dosa for all with sambar and coconut chutney. In our family of four, 3 got a decent dosa, while my wife was unlucky enough to get a black roasted dosa at the bottom of the dosa.finally my wife and mom ended with an excellent coffee.Dosa was charged just Rs 50 and coffee was charged Rs 25.Finally we should throw the banana leaves in the garbage bins. It's a packet friendly restaurant.Service will be slow as written on the board. Finally daughter enjoyed Rs 10 worth milk khoa sweet. I am giving 3/5 for food.while 1/5 for ambience.1/5 for service. Overall food wise it's a...

Our experience: We went on a weekend. As this hotel is just outside the temple, we went into it to have a breakfast. It was not much crowded, yet the order was soo delay.
They even took nearly 10 minutes to take our order. And here you can't order whatever you want, you just have to order from 2 - 3 items which is available. It's because there was only one cook who prepare puri, idly, and roast. Pongal, sambar, chutney, vada and potato masalas were there in stock. Food was good. But we waited so badly. There were only 1 person who serves, take bills and 1 person clean the table for next customer. We really had half stomach and came out as we had other plans for the day.
Note: I recommend to come out and you can see some other hotels where there are not...
Read moreLovely veg hotel with a nice retro ambience which feels so nostalgic! Tried their Ghee Podi Masala Dosa, Poori, Pongal, Sambar Vada, and of course the filter coffee everything was hot, fresh, and super tasty. The coffee is easily one of the best in town!
It gets a bit crowded sometimes, so you might have to wait, but totally worth it once you taste the food. We have visited 4 times in 2 days and in my pov, best time to visit is before 9 AM after getting the blessings from Sri Ranganathar feels like divine in this place– calm weather, fresh breakfast, and that old-timey feel. The owner was very friendly too. A perfect spot for families to enjoy a good South Indian breakfast!
And yes, don’t miss the little charm of getting your bill written on a slate — takes you straight back to...
