Banaras mein aake thandai na piye toh kya hi piye bhaiya XD?Badal Thandai Godowlia is a must-visit for anyone looking for a refreshing and delicious thandai in Varanasi. The shop has been serving thandai for over 3 generations, and the family recipe is still used today. The thandai is made with fresh ingredients, and it is always served cold. You can also add bhang to your thandai if you are looking for a little something extra. The bhang thandai is known to help with hangovers, and it is also a great way to relax and unwind which is priced at Rs. 150/-.
The shop is located in a small, unassuming building, but it is easy to find. The staff is friendly and welcoming, and they are always happy to help you choose the perfect thandai. I highly recommend Badal Thandai Godowlia to anyone visiting Varanasi. It is a great place to cool off on a hot day, and it is also a great place to try some traditional Indian cuisine.

Friends and I all chose drank 1 medium each and went to see the Ganga Aarti at ghat and walked back in 45 minutes. As I had consumed it before so I opted out and asked my friends to wait or at least take it back to hotel which was is Sarnath as I was sure I had started to feel something at the back of my head which is usually when I know it’s kicked in. my friends didn’t believed me but I was able to convince them to drink only half glasses this time and by the time they emptied them one by one each of us flying high like a kite in the crowded streets, we floated in the Benares streets for at least half an hour totally toasted but happy as a baby. Amazing experience but I’d advise to drinking it in hotel room if you’re doing it alone or first time otherwise find a good spot on ghat and have lots of cash for munching on anything...
Read moreThis is a tiny gem at the corner of Godowliya Chowk. Great tasting, Thandais. I tried the bhaang thandai for the first time ever , thanks to Badal Thandai and the gentleman at the counter who instilled in me the confidence to try bhaang and reassured that I won't have repercussions like they show in movies. Lol. There are three doses of bhaang. I went for the light version first and went for a second serving of Thandai with the moderate dose. There are a variety of Thandais and Lassis available. This small outlet is usually crowded, and there is a small seating area inside, but it gets a bit too congested if there is a lot of crowd. Overall, it was a good experience, and indeed, the bhaang aftermath was...
