BohoBar — Restaurant in Uttar Pradesh

It's a perfect place for a date i believe. The choice of music is unique from Lucknow with the same loud dance music everywhere. There is indoor and outdoor seating. Both very well designed and thematically on point. We sat inside but i am sure it will be a great place for outdoor seating in winters. There is a smoking area by the door on the right. For smokers, it is very rare. Somhow they are managing their ventilation very well so you can't smell smoke at all. The place actually smells very nice.

The food is also good. We tried a couple of dishes. The prawn tempura was brilliant but there was a mix with the order. The keema sliders were to die for. The choice of beers ia limited, which was disappointing. The cocktails are very good. The drinks menu is bit on the pricer side reletive to competition.

The worst for the last. The service was really bad. Especially, for the kind of establishment. The 2 stars i gave was because of the polite nature of the staff. The service is slow to start with. The drinks also took a lot of time. The cordination of the waiting staff and the kitchen is really bad. We ordered for the prawn tempura and were served a special prawn tempura thaliva. It was no doubt brilliant, but not what we ordered. The server was unable to understand the issue. In the end we ordered a couple of more drinks and another dish. This dish was never communicated to the kitchen. So, we were quite cheezed off and cancelled the drinks as well, that had obviously also not arrived. The bill includes Service charge that we asked them to remove which they promptly did.

My wife and I were genuinely disheartened because we thought we found a brilliant place but the service was so disappointing that we might not go...

1 star for the ambience and the saving grace, the Thai curry.

-2 for the extremely poor service. Absoluetely everything from the start to the end was unbelievably late. We got the menu and "water" after half an hour. The plates arrived after repeatedly asking for "plates" , but, with no cutlery. Asked for water, and lo and behold. It took them 20 mins to serve water. By this time we were in no mood to waste our time and obviously too late, point being we were extremely patient.

-1 The food was cold. The only saving grace was the Thai curry, which was genuinely good. Everything else was surprisingly trash. I mean it when I say, cold food. Clearly it was resting on the counter or wherever for half an hour, so had to turn cold (im assuming that).

-1 for us being requested to eat cold food than reheating/replacing it. Btw, we canceled an item and yet we're requested to eat it. (Can you belive it) yes, that happened!

So there you go, a reasonable 🌟 for a decent ambience and...
