This unassuming gem doesn't have any of the frills of some of the other cafes in the area and the menu doesn't seem extensive, but the chef and the staff are some of the best people/cooks I met in all of Banaras. I have many, many, many food allergies and I walked into this place tired and hungry and tried to hit just a few of the biggest ones. The chef came out and talked to me and asked me all my preferences and problems and then MADE SOMETHING UP FOR ME. I'm not kidding. I was like "I want soup but I can't eat this and this and this and oh yeah, I have a train so I want to feel full and not like I drank salty water." They turned that mess into an actual meal and even made me a little dessert that I could eat!

I was alone so they even came out and chatted with me and I felt like I had stepped into a friend's home. Plus the mission of this place is pretty cool. I didn't get to learn as much as I wanted about it, but it's all part of the Kiran Society.

Definitely definitely go...

Hello friends, This is a cafe run by a NGO Kiran International whom I know since 2000 and who are working in Varanasi to educate, skill and rehabilate young poor children. They serve different english and french as well as indian cuisines the indegrediants of which like bread butter jam are self manufactured by differently abled children of KIRAN. They are quite tasty and hygenic and they serve well in this cafe. The cafe has very good vibes and has good artistic theming. Whenever I eat here along with tasty food served here. I also have a cosmopolitan feeling that by eating here I am helping KIRAN who are working for a good social cause. You will also find suveniers here in this cafe made by different abled children. Best regards to KIRAN team Madan...

They make the best bread and desert cake in town! And the cost is extremely budget friendly. Healthy and clean ingredients in all their preparations. Bread varieties (sourdough, multigrain and whole wheat) are made fresh everyday. They also have their home produced jams and peanut butter. Their cafe serves the best pizza made with real mozarella cheese. This is a holy place for bread lovers! Very friendly and honest business every single staff is extremely friendly, courteous, knowledgable and very helpful. It is run by an NGO called Kiran Society and seem to be serving public for over two decades. Glad we found this cafe in our trip...

It was an amazing experience. Jaidev was a fantastic host and it felt amazing to know about their initiative and success. I tried several cafes in Varanasi and it can't be denied that most have their own identity and speciality. But when I see the menu options, location, taste and trust along with a humanitarian cause, it has to be said that trying Kiran Joy cafe is a must. The prices are adequate and reasonable, and the ambience is second to none.

The place and the purpose is beautiful ❤️ Kiran is really adding hopes to people's life and this place is one of those rays. The place do brings joy once you visit, like some one has mentioned, don't visit to expect the great service or great taste, though they do But to feel the purpose and to encourage those people out there. The food was yum, I have had mushroom noodles, and paneer pizza. The masala chai was best.
