I recently visited Krishna Restaurant in Banaras and tried their Mushroom Butter Masala with naan, and it turned out to be a genuinely satisfying meal. The curry was rich and creamy, with that classic butter masala aroma that makes you instantly hungry. The mushrooms were cooked just right—soft but still holding their shape, soaking up all the flavor of the gravy. The naan was fresh, soft in the center, and slightly crisp at the edges, making it the perfect companion to the curry.

The portion size was fair, the presentation simple yet inviting, and the service was polite without being overbearing. The overall vibe of the place is relaxed, making it good for a casual lunch or dinner. It’s not about flashy décor or gimmicks here—just honest, well-made food. If you enjoy North Indian flavors and want a comforting vegetarian option in Banaras, Krishna Restaurant is worth adding...

Looks can be deceiving some times. This is a very simple and normal looking restaurant with great taste hidden inside. Definitely a hidden gem of Varanasi.

The Mushroom 🍄 Masala is very tasty and so is the portion itself. Two of us were able to enjoy it over dinner.

Masala Papad is OK, but looked the Papad which is obviously local made. Need to pick up a few uncooked Papad before I leave.

The phulka and plain naan are very tasty and easy on the tummy for sure. The Lachcha Paratha is tasty but a bit more buttery than I would prefer. May be next time I can request them to make it less oily/buttery.

The service is good though like Indian countryside, raw and courteous but nothing...

Today we decided to take lunch at the Krishna Restaurant in the afternoon and we took the matar paneer , butter tandoori roti and Steam Rice

The chapaati and rice were amazing but the matar paneer's gravy was not tastefully suited for our tounge

We have waited for 5 - 8 minutes for the food

The restaurant has 14 tables in which family section and solo or duo dine tables are divided , it has many staff member's who are willingly doing their work and ready to serve you

It provides North Indian food , south indian cuisine and chinese dishes also but I've no idea of beverages

Restaurant provides parcel services and they take payment in both modes ( Cash and UPI...
