Makhan Handi Restaurant (Hotel Tridev) — Restaurant in Uttar Pradesh

I visited this place for dinner recently and have also visited once a few years back. Both times the service was awful. The staff is so disinterested and ignorant. There were a few dust particles in my water that I asked to change...upon which 3 different waiters came to check the water first instead of changing it right away. That's the level of their customer treatment. The place remains almost empty most of the time. If you are hungry around this area and aren't looking for a high end show off restaurant, then visit Sona Rupa (only dosa recommended) which is right across the street near Bank of Baroda...much better in taste.

Food arrived after a long wait of 45 mins. The manager also showed me the order timestamp to prove that it hadn't been an hour.

Now coming to the food, the starter (veg salt and pepper) was above average surprisingly...beats the local reputation. Paneer butter masala - not good. Lachha paratha - too hard Mixed kulcha - they gave paneer kulcha instead of what I ordered and then the manager (yes, not the waiter) tried to convince me that it was mixed kulcha. It was anything but kulcha!

Last but not the least, so ridiculously overpriced for a city like Varanasi.

So not recommended! Only go if you are having insanely too many good days and would like to have a bad one...

Overpriced, Portions not adequate, tasteless .. This restaurant just scams tourist as it is located near kaal bhairav madir gali.. They have maintained the atmosphere of a good restaurant but portions or price was a joke. 299 for a two piece sandwich. 149 for lassi which was sour curd probably old... I had better sandwich at roadside later that too of 70rs with amul cheese slice and quantity was more than...

Ordered this south Indian combo from the menu itself but even after clear mention of 6 items and options to chose from we were only permitted to have butter milk, either one from dosa/uttapam/vada/idli/poha and tea/coffee. We mentioned that there’s a ‘ , ’ in the menu and your are serving not even half of food options listed. They just ignored what we tried to explain and kept saying it’s been ordered...
