Shree Rajbhog — Restaurant in Uttar Pradesh

My relatives had arranged a small Birthday function, they gave us a separate hall but asked us to sit on some particular tables, and kept lying someone else has booked these. My only question was why would you give a space for function for two different parties. As I said he was lying no one came.

For some reason from the very start the behavior of some of the serving guys was rude, twice they even kind of yelled when someone asked what is the name of the dish you are serving. I feel they had some internal issue because I felt they were like rude for one minute, next minute absolutely fine.

It was almost 11pm when the party got over and just random family talks and pictures were being clicked. For some reason that Manager kept on insisting to wrap up, I mean it's just a gathering of 20 odd people not some big event that it will take time to wrap up, but he finally chose the option to turn off the lights. Even though in their main sitting area people were still having food that too 5 tables. Not sure about the hurry as there was nothing to wrap up there like decoration, music etc nothing was there we only had the pathetic food.

Coming to food, so this is just a heads up to anyone who has never experienced such Thaali. At least everyone in my family faced stomach issues, I don't think that the food was old or anything but that loads of mixture of 10-15 different items can be a cause of food poisoning. Then because the service guys have to serve and that too these many dishes, it kind of becomes annoying after sometime they just keep appearing every minute asking Sir this, Sir that.. "Bhai ek minute shaanti se khana kha lene do"

Opened in 2017, this is one of the best places to have Rajasthani food in India, and definitely amongst the best in Lucknow!

First, the restaurant is situated in the posh area of Gomti Nagar which is very easily accessible by metro. Second, the restaurant has easy parking available.

Coming to restaurant, the owners are very friendly and super customer oriented. The moment you enter, you are greeted with a cheerful 'Padahro sa" by one of the owner. Next after seating, your hands are given a nice wash with warm water. There is a nice thali whose menu depends on the day. Typically, there are two rice options, four rotis, three or four sabzis, two to three dals and three four curries. There are also several side dishes and chutnies and other bite sized snacks/drinks. The staff is super polite and takes extra care to ensure you have a nice meal and your plate is full with the food. Being a family restaurant, it is mostly full with families occupying the tables and the vibe of the restaurant is very calm with Rajasthani folk music playing in the background. The restaurant also has both cash and digital payment options. Slightly south point is the price of a thali which is about 400/- per person and which cannot be shared. However, the sheer quantity of food makes it worthwhile along with the customer service orientedness makes you feel supergreat. Later you can wear the traditional Rajasthani pagdi and get photos clicked by the staff.

Recently, they have also started the takeaway service.

AMBIENCE ⭐⭐⭐⭐ A beautiful, creative ambience with an aura of traditionality. It is so colourfully decorated with the beautiful dupattas, pagdis cute dolls. If you are looking for a beautiful and traditional ambience, go for it.

FOOD QUALITY & QUANTITY ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ You'll find such a huge thali with so much of traditional food that you'll actually love to try. I had a fusion thali which was a mix of Gujrati and Rajasthani. There was special traditional dishes to explore and eat of different states. I had Dal Bati Churma, Dhokla, Kadhi, Thepla, Papdi Chaat, Syrupy Jalebis and many more.

FOOD SERVICE ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The staff was very polite and welcoming. We had a fun time there. They serve food with so much of generosity and open heart that you'll feel so welcomed. Service is best and there's so much coordination within staff for any kind of help which eliminates chaos.

FOOD TASTE ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ The taste of every food item was so delicious and authentic. The dishes were so good and had its traditionality. I actually loved exploring each item from different traditions.

OVERALL EXPERIENCE ⭐⭐⭐⭐ The place was really beautiful. The dishes were authentic in taste. Food quantity was perfect. Management of food wastage is also carried responsibly from which I was actually impressed.
