Read moreThe atmosphere at the Ganga View Cafe is pleasant, inviting, and peaceful. The air is well ventilated with fresh air from the Ganga and fans on the ground and overhead. The front store/entryway has tranquil music, well crafted homemade goods, and I did enjoy a lovely dessert. However, the food was mediocre. The majority of the cuisine is clearly not from the local area or culture and this would be acceptable if the food was well prepared. Many of the dishes have sauces that are too sugary or to peppery to differentiate the spices or ingredients, or the sauce covers the majority of the dish to the point that you can’t enjoy the main course, or there is no sauce at all. The refreshments are also loaded with sugar to the point that you are not able to enjoy some of the well thought out herbs and fresh fruits in the drink. I will say that the momos were good and the spicy sauce went well with this appetizer, the other was just mayonnaise. My “spaghetti” dish did not have any sauce to the point where there were plain noodles on my plate mixed with overly steamed vegetables. I did ask for a side of pesto to see if that would help, but it was not fresh and frankly didn’t taste like pesto. When I complained about the quality of my main course and asked to return it, the host said that I would still have to pay for it, which in my opinion is unacceptable. Overall, the general staff provide good service, they are highly attentive, and the food comes out quickly, which might be part of the problem. This restaurant has immense potential, but I would only recommend coming here for the view and the charming environment, if you are interested in delicious cuisine, this is...

I recently visited this cafe to grab lunch, but unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Upon arrival, I noticed that the top floor was crowded. However, when I checked downstairs, I saw empty seats available. Despite this, the staff seemed unwelcoming and didn't offer to seat us downstairs initially. Just as we were about to leave, the person at the counter informed us that there were indeed seats available downstairs and showed us the way. However, the food took a considerable amount of time to arrive. To our disgust, we found a dead cockroach in our rice. This was unacceptable and raised serious concerns about the cafe's hygiene and food handling practices. What was even more disappointing was the staff's response to this incident. There were flies around and the staff told us it's because of the heat and didn't bother to take any action to curb on the flies. They seemed unapologetic and showed little remorse for the distress caused. On our way back we complained to the person at the counter who casually replied that they might do pest control and didn't even bother to apologize. Their attitude was unprofessional and didn't provide any assurance that they would take steps to prevent such incidents in the future.
Overall, my experience at Ganga view cafe was subpar, and I would not recommend...
