Mathura Walo Ki Prachin Dukan: A Haridwar Staple A Taste of Tradition If you're in Haridwar and craving authentic, delicious vegetarian fare, Mathura Walo Ki Prachin Dukan is a must-visit. This iconic eatery has been serving up delectable dishes for generations, and it's easy to see why it's a local favorite. The Star Attraction: Desi Ghee Puri and Dry Vegetable While the menu boasts a variety of tempting options, the real showstopper here is the desi ghee puri with dry vegetable. The puris are crispy, golden-brown, and infused with the rich flavor of ghee. The dry vegetable, a flavorful blend of spices and vegetables, is the perfect complement to the puris. It's a classic combination that never fails to satisfy. Beyond the Puris In addition to their signature dish, Mathura Walo Ki Prachin Dukan also offers a range of other mouthwatering delicacies, including sweets, snacks, and thalis. Their sweets are particularly popular, especially the peda, which is renowned for its melt-in-your-mouth texture and rich flavor. A Note on Service and Ambiance While the food is undoubtedly the star of the show, the service can be a bit slow, especially during peak hours. However, the friendly staff and the nostalgic ambiance of the restaurant make up for any minor shortcomings. A Must-Try for Food Lovers If you're in Haridwar, make sure to add Mathura Walo Ki Prachin Dukan to your itinerary. Whether you're a local or a tourist, you're sure to enjoy the authentic flavors and warm hospitality of this legendary eatery. And don't forget to try their delicious desi ghee puri and dry vegetable – it's an experience you won't...

Short trip today to Haridwar as weather was amazing little rain, crowded places after 2 years, as today was Amavashya so special rush for many rituals. After all such walking and rituals one needs to satisfy his belly too, many restaurants of alloo poori and other dishes there but my favourite is Mathura wala in Haridwar old bazar road to Har ki Paudi. Aloo poori prepared in desi ghee with pumpkin and potato dish and one potato dish. We call it aloo ki sabzi aur aloo kaddu ki sabzi. Price approx 90-100 in this 4 poori and sabzi. Extra sabzi you may ask. Samosa and khasta also very famous here. This is not enough as we Indians love some desserts or meetha after food so many pure milk variety of sweets also available. I tried bottle gourd barfi or Lauki ki lonj, rabri and motichoor ke laddu, mark of purity you can feel after one bite only. Halwa is so yummy as i tried it before so this time something new. Sitting available with good Cleanliness and hygiene. Normal water and cold water bottles also available. Must try this amazing food at Mathura wala. #Haridwar is known for it's #sweets made of #DeshiGhee especially #Peda & #Rabri - after a lot of hits and trials - I managed to zero in on the #best sweet shop in the city as per public consensus - Mathura walo ki pracheen dukan - it's a long walk from #HarkiPouri inside a congested #MotiBazaar till #ThandaKuan but absolutely worth the effort once you taste the sweets on sale at that shop - not only were the above mentioned sweets absolutely delicious - I also stumbled upon #GajarKaHalwa & different kinds of #Barfi & #Laddu- the only common denominator amongst all of them was the fact that each one of them was #Gheelicious - every bite was an heavenly affair..
#Tip: There are quite a few shops with that same name across Haridwar but the oldest and the original one is this century old shop..
#MUSTVISIT if you are in Haridwar.. 😍
