A-46 The Microbrewery — Restaurant in West Bengal

I discovered this place a few years ago, and have been visiting multiple times every time I'm in Durgapur, it being probably the only brewery in town. But every time, I've found the service to be wanting. I visited again, twice last week, and the service was disappointing. The first time, the staff refused to offer me a table because I was alone, and instead suggested I sit with another gentleman who was there alone too. The second time, the servers hardly came over to take my order or check on me; at one time, one of them showed me their hand and walked away as I was in the middle of requesting something, and I was able to flag down someone else after only about half an hour. I suspect this was probably because I was there alone, since I noticed there wasn't the same negligence towards the larger groups there. I requested to speak to the manager, and was informed that the manager was busy and would speak to me when he was free - a strange response at a restaurant. Meanwhile, I could see that the manager was at the beck and call of a group of Caucasian patrons and another larger group, making sure they were pleased. Eventually, after about 45 minutes, I managed to catch his eye and requested him to come over, and he did - at closing time. I mentioned my disappointment at the staff's behavior, as well as his own. He looked at my bill and tried to make light of the situation, joking with me about how I visit only once a year (something I shared with him earlier in the conversation) and ordered only about Rs.1500 worth, and that if I came more frequently and ordered more, the staff would know me and serve me better! With that attitude from the staff as well as the manager, I cancelled a visit there I had planned with my friends the next day, and doubt I will be returning soon. As for the food, I did not try any this visit, but it used to be ok when I had tried it during my previous visits. The prices are reasonable. However, the beer there is very ordinary at best, even by the standards of what is readily available elsewhere in India. This one star is for the following incident..

The staff told me to scan the QR and leave a review.. While I scanned the QR that was there on the Table, before I could read my screen to decide the next step the staff himself quickly pressed the button on my phone while I was holding my phone, and that actually led to share my name and number in their website. This was done without my permission.He did that so quickly from my phone I didn't even get the time to read my own screen.. And also I was holding my phone.. This behavior of the staff was very unprofessional.. And no one has the right to do that.. Why will he touch my phone without my permission.. That too pressing a button which shares my data?

If you request a customer to leave a review, let them do it.. Don't just try to do that from their phone... And also press the buttons on their phone without their permission... This falls under breach of privacy..

Kindly train your staff not to touch customer's phone without their permission..

I am giving the 1star for this particular behavior.. Otherwise I had no complain about food or...

Hopeless and Extremely disappointed place.. when we saw the board of Microbrewery, it was amazing feeling because we were coming from Delhi and thought of visiting one day, Durgapur is getting changed.

To all my appreciation, it turned out out to be super flop. So, yesterday, a normal week day, we went to the restaurant, the music was good but too loud for a time around 7ish..Anyway we had ask to lower down the volume but that didn't happen.. Anyways, we have been denied that there is no fresh beer available.. we were very disappointed and ask for pint though it was extremely pricy It was very hard to cope up with the beer and loud music then had to leave the place immediately Guys! I understand it's a pub and music has to be played but you need to also consider the amount of people around, it was badly couple of occupants, you need to seriously think about the ambiance.
