I recently had the misfortune of visiting this restaurant with a large group of 15 people, and I must say it was an extremely disappointing experience from start to finish. The moment we arrived, it was clear that the restaurant was not prepared to handle a group of our size. The sitting management was a complete disaster - we struggled to find a table that could accommodate all of us, and when we did find a 6-sitter table, it was shocking to see that only 2 people were occupying it. This was a clear indication of poor planning and a lack of foresight on the part of the restaurant management.
To make matters worse, the table management was incredibly lazy. We noticed that empty tables were not being cleared in a timely manner, and we had to request the servers multiple times to clear the table. This was not only frustrating, but it also made us feel like we were an inconvenience to the staff.
The buffet service was equally chaotic and disorganized. The food was not being refilled properly and in a timely manner, resulting in a long queue of people standing with plates in hand waiting for food. This was not only frustrating, but it also led to a lot of unnecessary stress and anxiety for our group.
But the real kicker was the quality of the food. As the time passed, the quality of the food seemed to degrade significantly. The chili chicken and jeera rice were way too salty to be edible, and the chicken in the chaap and biriyani was not properly boiled, which was a major safety concern. This was completely unacceptable, and it showed a blatant disregard for the health and well-being of the customers.
In conclusion, if this restaurant is unable to manage their buffet service properly, I strongly suggest they consider not offering buffet on weekends (Saturday and Sunday). This might help them improve their service and quality, and ensure that customers have a better experience. Unfortunately, based on our experience, I can only give this...
Read moreWe had 2 non veg thalis, one with mutton (550 rupee) and another with chicken (450 rupee). The review is as follows : Shukto : not good taste. Too much on the bitter side. Less ghee and veggies. Brinjal fry : good Sonamug daal : okay...average Luchi 2pcs : small in size and average (extra luchi comes at 80 rupee per 4pcs) Aloo dam : simple, oily but good Rice : ordinary dawat rozana Sela type rice. Super low in quantity. May be 1.5 tea cup max. (Extra rice comes at 110 for 4 tea cup amount ordinary rice ) Basanti polao : they just stabbed and killed that dish ! No flavour no dry fruits, ghee. The starch and the rice was cooked such a way that it seems glue was put into that ! And quantity is like two dollops or 1.5 tea cup. Patol dolma : third class. No stuffing . Even the seeds are there. Katla Kalia : ordinary light gravy. The fish was good. Mutton kosha : gravy is okay type (normal marriage ceremony type catering wala taste). Comes with strands of ginger and Tulsi leave (first I thought pudina but it was tulsi ! ) 2 pcs mostly fatty or full of bone. Chicken kosha : I think chicken was cooked in less time so chewy (chhibre chhibre) . The gravy is super ordinary with kasuri methi leaves dominating the taste. Gondhoraj ghol : Excellent taste but so low quantity may be 100 ml ! Aam chutney : okay type. Not too sweet. Papad : who serve sabudana papad garnished with red chilli powder with chutney ? Payesh : absolute disgusting. Rice was not properly cooked. Salad : good quantity and quality.
That don't give regular water so you have to buy a drinking water of 1L if you are to drink water. I don't know what they are getting while selling a 20 rupee water and spoiling the mood. All the above price is not including GST. So count extra for that. I shall urge the management to look into that. Else people will just go for...
Read moreWell, this is one of the worst restaurants in Chandannagar. We visited âBongo Roshonaâ yesterday. The first thing we noticed was that the items were totally overpriced. I have never seen such a low quantity of rice served in any restaurant - it was inadequate for even two people. We ordered Chicken Kasha. We specifically asked if the item was meant to be had with rice, and the staff said yes. But when it was served, the quantity of gravy was very low - maybe enough for paratha or naan, but definitely not for rice. The chicken was not properly cooked, and the quality was also disappointing considering the price. I would rate it 5/10. Next, we ordered Vetki Paturi. First of all, it was not vetki; it was basha. I was okay with that, as itâs quite common these days, but the piece was very small, loaded with turmeric, and the mustard paste was not cooked properly. It gave a raw, unpleasant taste. I would rate the paturi 3/10. They also charged âš80 for Jhuri Aloo Bhaja (crispy potato fries), but the quantity was very low. Overall, I would rate this restaurant 1 out of 5 stars. If you compare it with Bhooter Raja Dilo Bor, believe me, itâs not even a competition. Bhooter Raja Dilo Bor is just two lanes away - simply go there instead. Their quality and quantity are far superior. Yesterday, we had chicken (shared), two pieces of paturi, aloo bhaja, and rice (2 plates), and the total bill was âš997. About a month ago, we visited Bhooter Raja Dilo Bor and had 2 plates of rice, 1 plate of chicken, 1 plate of mutton, 1 plate of chanar dalna, 2 plates of daal, and 2 plates of aloo bhaja. We were four people, and the total bill was only âš1200. So, I strongly recommend going to Bhooter Raja Dilo Bor or Amar Bangla - they are far better than this overpriced restaurant with poor...
