Ordered pongal, sambar vada and coffee, pongal had a diffrent taste personally liked it. Vada on oily side, coffee good filter coffee Nominal rate of food items, taste wise it feels like mysore style but not authentic. Drinking water is placed in difficult to access corner.spoons are kept in steam bath but not switched on which is an serious health issue. Although self service not enough space to sit. Parking is a real difficulty, two wheeler parking on road, car parking is next to impossible Food here has excess amount of oil mostly in all dishes

The food was really good and so was the ambience. The food was true to the tagline of being a Udupi based cuisine.

We ordered Pudi masala dosa, Ghee dosa, Sambhar Vada, Chole bhature and coffee. All the items were lip smacking and good. The prices are light on the pocket but that doesn't reflect on the quality of the food. The quality of food is much better than what you seem to get an idea by seeing their prices. The coffee was too good and believe me when I say this that it costs just ₹12. They also have a separate counter for milkshakes and fresh juices and the prices of those too are far less than what they cost outside. I had a cold coffee and it was good. Almost all the milkshakes and juices are around the price band of ₹50-60. The total bill was around ₹450 for 4pax.

The parking is limited but it won't be a problem in normal hours and it could take a few minutes to find a spot in peak hours.

Now to the nitpicks. The kiosk was turned off so the only way to order was from the billing counter and the cards are not accepted as they don't have a POS and the acceptable payment modes are only cash and UPI.

It seemed to me that they lacked a plan to handle the footfall surges and was not expecting or prepared to handle a surge in crowd. Some items in the menu went out of availability but were made available after sometime when the crowd reduced and the crowd in front of the collection desk was well above their capacity as the waiting time to collect each dish was around 10 mins. It was just a normal weekday and it was only around 7pm, so that made me think about what would happen during the prime time at weekends. It's something that they should plan ahead to avoid this menu and serving mess. Even though they managed it quite well, it was really disappointing to see the dishes that were said to be unavailable while we were ordering was made available while we were ending our dining.

One other thing that bothered me was the seating tables, they were not ideal as per my view as most of the tables were empty but were occupied as one or two people sat and reserved the table while one or more was at the billing or at the collection point. And it was too congested that the chairs were literally colliding with that of the chairs behind making it hostile to be seated even if it's free to occupy. I get that seating tables are required as not all can manage to stand and eat at the standing tables but it would make sense to have the standing tables in at least a proportional number as people could have a place to eat rather than going for table hunting and also care can be taken to arrange the seating tables in a more effective way to avoid them being hostile to seating.

Both the menu mess and serving delay were understandable and something that's unavoidable in any restaurant when there is a surge in footfall but the table and seating thing is not one such thing. The restaurant became less crowded within an hour and the tables were available but they were still dashing with the chairs behind them. It will be fine as long as there's no one behind you. Hope it gets better.

Definitely a place to visit not just once, solely due to the taste and price...

This Restaurant in Coimbatore has quickly gained popularity as a go-to destination for those seeking a diverse and memorable dining experience. Located in a vibrant part of the city, it offers a cozy and aesthetically pleasing ambiance, making it perfect for casual gatherings, family outings, or even business meetings. The decor is contemporary with a blend of rustic elements, featuring comfortable seating and warm lighting that sets a welcoming tone.

The restaurant boasts a varied menu that caters to a wide range of palates. From North Indian to Continental and Asian cuisines, the choices are vast, ensuring there's something for everyone. One of the standout features of Social Kitchen is the quality of the food. The ingredients are fresh, and the dishes are well-prepared, often presented with a creative flair. Signature dishes like the chicken tikka, sushi, and various pasta options receive high praise for their flavor and authenticity.

Service at Social Kitchen is generally commendable, with staff members who are attentive, friendly, and willing to accommodate special requests. However, during peak hours, the service can be a bit slow, which is something to keep in mind if you're in a hurry. The pricing is reasonable considering the quality and portion sizes, making it a good value for money.

Overall, Social Kitchen offers a delightful dining experience with its broad menu, pleasant ambiance, and attentive service. It's a great spot to unwind and enjoy good food in Coimbatore, whether you're a local or just...

This place is a gem! If you love or miss Karnataka style benne dosa, thatte idli, and sweet sambar, then the chances are high that you will love this place. Among the dishes we tried, I would recommend you try their Uduppi open butter masala dosa, ghee podi thatte idli and filter coffee; they were too good🤤🤌🏻❤️The best part is that it is very affordable; we had 1 Uduppi open butter masala dosa, 1 ghee podi thatte idli, 1 Uduppi podi masala dosa and 2 filter coffee, and the total bill (including gst) was just ₹187. I liked the way of payment and collecting tokens by the customers themselves for ordering food (for UPI payment); it gives us the idea of the charges of each dish and a visual representation of the dish for people who are new to the menu. But this would be a problem, when the place is crowded, since they have only one machine. They don't have a very vast menu. I would say that, they have limited variety, but whatever they provide is decent. Please note that the seating is arranged in only 50% of the area; so if crowded, the chances to sit and dine will be pure luck. They have arranged table stands for others to stand and have food. Also, people who intend to have tea for breakfast, please mind that they don't have tea on their menu. I...
