On June 9, I visited this Subway outlet, and my experience was disappointing. I ordered a footlong chicken sandwich and specifically asked for the chicken to be placed only on one half of the sandwich. I reiterated this to a staff member at the till, and he confirmed that it would not be a problem.
When I moved down the line, a different staff member started putting the sandwich together. When I reminded him of my request. He rudely and dismissively said no. Even when I offered a compromise of only placing the chicken on one side, he said that he “can’t” do that. I asked him to omit the chicken completely instead, and again, he refused saying that he couldn’t prepare the sandwich like that either.
At this point, I requested a refund. His tone and attitude were still unprofessional, and while he did not say anything else, his silence coupled with his body language and actions made me feel unwelcome. I had to wait around 10 minutes just to have my refund processed.
Every bit of it felt like they were harassing me for something I was asking reasonably. As someone who frequents Subway outlets, I never thought that I would encounter such poor service.
