⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Wonderful Team Buffet Lunch at Zaitoon Velachery — Great Food & Experience!

We recently went for a team buffet lunch at Zaitoon Velachery and it turned out to be an amazing experience overall. The buffet was priced at ₹799 per person, and I’d say it’s worth it for the variety, taste, and ambience they offer.

✅ Soups & Starters

Zaitoon Special Non-Veg Soup: One of the tastiest soups I’ve had — flavourful and satisfying!

Green Mint Soup: Didn’t try this, but the option looked fresh and inviting.

Soup Crisps: The crunchy crisps to add to the soup were a nice touch.

🥗 Salads

Grilled Chicken Mayonnaise Salad: Very unique and delicious — loved the flavour combo, though it was a bit salty for my taste.

Zaitoon Special Salad: A refreshing mix of fruits and veggies — very tasty and well-balanced.

🍗 Non-Veg Starters

Chicken Angara Kebab: Nicely spiced and cooked.

Crispy Fried Hot Wings: Crispy, juicy and full of flavour — a great snack!

Moroccan Dejaaj Meshwi: So tender and perfectly grilled — highly recommended.

🍛 Main Course

Chicken Dum Biryani: Their signature biryani did not disappoint — flavourful, aromatic and that classic ‘shuttle style’ taste!

Chicken Xacuti: Rich, spicy and very tasty — a must-try.

Indian Breads: Didn’t try these, but the spread looked good.

Veg Danmein Noodles: Okay in taste — not bad, but not exceptional either.

Veg Biryani: Didn’t try it personally, but others said it was good.

Kadai Veg: Couldn’t try this one, but it was appreciated by teammates.

Dal Tadka: Surprisingly delicious! Not all buffets get dal right — this one did.

Curd Rice: Simple yet so tasty — the perfect finish to a heavy meal.

Sides: They served good accompaniments like raita, brinjal curry, sauces and their special mayonnaise, which added great flavour to the meal.

🍰 Desserts & Drinks

Welcome Drink: Fresh and fruity — really good start to the buffet.

Vanilla Ice Cream: Skipped this but good to have for kids or those who want it.

Gulab Jamun: Soft, sweet, and warm — classic and satisfying.

Kunafa: One of my favourites from the dessert section — well-made and indulgent!

🪑 Ambience & Service

The buffet hall felt like a party hall — spacious, nicely arranged and comfortable for team gatherings.

Service was good — staff were attentive and ensured dishes were replenished on time.

The atmosphere was vibrant and perfect for a relaxed team lunch.

💸 Pricing

₹799 per person may feel slightly premium, but given the variety and taste, it’s definitely worth it once in a while — especially for a special lunch with colleagues, family or friends.

If you’re looking for a good buffet spread in Velachery with a nice balance of non-veg and veg dishes, tasty grills, fresh salads and decent desserts, Zaitoon is a great choice. The flavours, ambience, and service make it an ideal place for team lunches, celebrations or casual gatherings.

This situation happened on Aug 2nd 2025 10:30 PM. Me and my wife We ordered grill chicken , creamy soup , one chicken rice and one chicken noddles. Soup came and it was nice. Grill chicken came and it smelled like rotten we didn’t notice then followed by that rice and noodles came. Now we started to have the starter and main course we started slowly because we had time. When we started with grill chicken we can able to smell the rotten chicken it was heavy we can’t even smell that again my wife got a feel like vomiting. So we call the guys who were serving to other table and showed them to call there’s manager or supervisor. Now supervisor came then one sever guy took the grill chicken plate and showed to there supervisor (name) Iqbal and directly he throwed into the dustbin without showing this Happend within few seconds then we started to argue with them that how this can be done without our permission bla bla it went. My wife was very angry so she also argued more. Here comes the manager (name) JiJo he tried to convince us to have the remaining dinner and to get complementary mojitos or what ever is needed we didn’t had anything and we argued again washed our hands and the manager brought us to the front desk to discuss. We argued because on June month I had food poison and it affected me very seriously. We convince the same the manager and asked him what would have happen if we had this ? I was silent because I felt really down. my wife argued everything because down we saw pregnant ladies small children manager was polite because this should not go big gave his number and said we will call tomorrow morg if anything happens we will take care. Please don’t make this big.

I am writing this after long gap because after that my wife was not feeling well for next few days i was taking care her and had some pending office Works.

Reason for writing now : This incident was really disturbing me while sleeping i saw pregnant ladies and small children. What happens if they would have had that rotten chickens ? So I came here to tell you about this so that you will check this and ignore this restaurant and be cautious.

I recently visited Zaitoon's Velachery branch and had an absolutely delightful dining experience. The highlight of my visit was undoubtedly the Arabian Sea Food Platter, Mutton Biryani, and refreshing Mojitos. Everything was beyond delicious and incredibly tasty.

The Arabian Sea Food Platter was a true feast for seafood enthusiasts like myself. It featured a variety of perfectly cooked delicacies from the sea, including succulent grilled prawns, flavorful fish tikka, and delectable calamari. Each bite was bursting with flavor, and the freshness of the seafood was evident.

The Mutton Biryani was a masterpiece in itself. The fragrant long-grain rice was perfectly layered with tender, succulent mutton and a blend of aromatic spices. It was a symphony of flavors that left me craving for more. The portion size was generous, ensuring a satisfying meal.

To complement my meal, I ordered Mojitos, and they were absolutely refreshing. The balance of sweetness, tanginess, and the minty freshness was spot on. Sipping on these cool beverages enhanced the overall dining experience.

The ambiance of the restaurant was comfortable and inviting, with attentive and friendly staff members who were more than happy to assist with any queries or recommendations.

I would highly recommend Zaitoon's Velachery branch to anyone looking for an exceptional Arabian Sea food experience. From the flavorful Arabian Sea Food Platter to the heavenly Mutton Biryani and the refreshing Mojitos, every dish surpassed my expectations. I will definitely be returning for more culinary delights in the near future.
