HOTEL SHREE CHAMUNDEESWARI — Restaurant in Zone 5 Royapuram

After viewing the youtube videos, decided to try their food. The shop was in a busy street. Got some parking space opp to the shop as i went in a two wheeler. I dont think it would be comfortable for those who come in car.

Planned to dine in but then could nt prefer to sit n eat there due to the predominant fish smell from the nearby fish markets.

The selling counter was fast and busy and I could not get enough time to choose. I had to select quickly. As seen in youtube video, no combo of rices available. Only individual selection need to be done. No menu cards either. Finally bought thoodhuvalai rice, beetroot rice, kothamalli saadham, vadai n ilaneer Payasam.

Thoodhuvalai saadham was great in taste but then the remaining rice I kept in the box at home got spoiled within an hour. Kothamalli rice was gud and beetroot rice was average. Ilaneer Payasam was OK but the coconut pieces were so thick n nt taken from the tender coconut which deviated the taste. Vadai was not crispy.

Many more varieties were available to explore. Not a complete bad choice I would say but then not a super gud place either as hyped...

After getting youtubers videos and reviews today went there and ordered murunga keerai sadam, panner biryani, payasam, kesari and meals and paid 285...

Food quality and taste is below average. Too salty in all foods. The cost Rs.45 for mixed rice is too high for this quality of food. Paneer biryani is not a biryani this one is also mixed with panner masala. Beetroot poriyal, Pineapple Pudding with too much of edible camphor smell.

Vathakulambu, sambar and kurma is ok ok taste compared other items which is comes with parcel.

The quantity of meals for Rs.100 is enough for two peoples, but not that much taste.

Don't go with high expectations. It's regular hotel...

The food and quality is good and the taste of the food is also good but the location is the worst exactly opposite to the fish market .

One of the worst owner you can ever meet. On viewing any YouTube interview don't think he will be polite or respectful. Such a mannerless person who is slow in billing and they don't have menu card if some one asks what's there he will yell at them and say I am not your slave. The person who enquired was polite and the owner was so disrespectful to all the customer even if they are aged.
