Goldman's Steakhouse — Restaurant in Zone 9 Teynampet

I've visited this place 4 times so far. First things first , The food and atmosphere here is amazing . One of the best steaks in the city. BUT...The staffs here are pretty bad . First and second time I went , service and food was amazing. Third time i had high hopes, but went there and was greeted by a newbie staff (don't want to name him and get him in trouble) made us switch tables four times for no reason, actually the restaurant was empty. Which was irritating. Few days ago, during the fourth visit and i noticed some repetitive pattern of behaviour here.

1)The staffs here have a very bad attitude of treating their customers like illiterate with no knowledge about steaks. They act as if they're the only people who know about steaks.

2. Even though we have had several steaks in different places , and we know what we want, They kept teaching us about steaks and difference between them even while we were ordering. They kept explaining what rare and medium was . Even though we said we have already had steak and we want it a certain way.

3)We ordered rib eye as medium and we were very specific about it being pink. But what they brought was well done and stringy and chewy . When questioned , they said " They Thought it would be better tasting if the steak was given a little bit more cooked" and "It was overcooked because it was a flat steak".

4. A) we don't need professionals to give excuse about this stuff. Mistakes happen I agree. But it's not a home kitchen to say excuses. In a professional setting, It should have been removed and redone according to our wish. B) If you are going to give us whatever u feel will taste good, why do u ask us our cooking preference ? We are not there to taste your preference. We should decide if we want it medium or well done.

Overall the food is amazing but I will not revisit bcz of these reasons. If you don't mind poor service and being treated like a child who knows nothing about beef, go ahead. But again , food is worth it. Good chef and interiors, but the place will lose customers because of...

Valet Parking available Visited on: 12-Jun-2022, Dinner No of pax: 2 Ambience is a personal preference (just check the photos), but the place was kept clean. We did not order either the pork or the beef, so my experience/rating would be purely of the chicken items. -- Mango Mojito = 5/5 : It's part of their seasonal menu. A mojito with a mild hint of mango, which in my opinion was just right as the mango did not overwhelm/take over the mojito but left a nice and subtle aftertaste. -- Cheesy Mexican Chicken wings - 5/5: The spice levels are a bit low to what the menu claims. The wings were juicy and perfectly fried. The sauce was cheesy, loaded exactly as I hoped it would be. Finger licking good. -- Nashville Chicken Burger - 4/5: (served with fries) Again, I was hoping for it to be a bit more on the spicier side. The layers of the burger were all just perfect, the chicken was fried and cooked perfectly. My only gripe was the bun, which I found to be a bit dense and mildly sweet. -- Chicken Schnitzel - 5/5: (served with fries) Perfectly cooked chicken with just the right amount of crispiness on the outside. It was so easy to cut and the chicken almost melted in my mouth -- Special mention to their hand cut fries that were served with the mains. Bill: ~1700 The Owner was really easy going and was asking around/ giving out suggestions if we needed any. That further adds to the experience.

Great ambience, great food. But it is quite small. Expected it to be big but was small but they have made good use of the space. Staff are good. But when it came to certain specifications given for the food either they did not communicate properly or the chefs inside the kitchen are just used to plate up food the way it is. Below is the instance. My son had ordered a plate of steak. Generally the steak comes with a side of veggies and garlic mash or rice. We requested for rice and instead of veggies we asked for french fries. But they still have a steak with veggies and mash. And we had to tell them again about it and then they bought out the rice and french fries separately. But the portions for all dishes is really good. Good big plates for all dishes.

Our order was as below : Mexican cheese fries : Absolutely yummy. A must have. Jalapeno and cheese sticks : It was bland, there was a sauce at the bottom, with the sauce it tasted good. Onion rings : Just ok. Again batter on the onions was bland. 2 Tenderloin steaks : 1 Medium rare which was good. Another Medium which was rather had to cut through so that was ok. Chipotle Paneer Burrito Bowl : Was a good portion and recommended. Golden Berry berry sparkle drink : Rather fancy with golden glitter in the drink, and the drink was really nice. Tiramisu : A favourite dessert of mine. It was surely good. Biscoff cheesecake : Nice and creamy with a good amount of biscoff flavour and layer on it. Choco lava cake : Oozed out amazingly. Very chocolaty.
