KUP Coffee Roasters charms not just with its well-crafted beverages but with a playful and thoughtful customer experience. The moment you step in, you’re met with a vibe that’s warm, minimalist, and quietly creative — much like their clever reward system. Bring your pet? You’re handed a puppuccino. A selfie with the owner? Perks await. It’s these small, personal touches that set KUP apart.

We ordered the signature hot chocolate, orange zest hot chocolate, signature cold coffee, and the blueberry white chocolate cake. The hot chocolates were beautifully done — rich, velvety, and indulgent without being cloying. The orange zest variant added a lovely citrus twist that cut through the heaviness, making it feel refreshing and new.

The signature cold coffee kept things classic — smooth and robust, just what you'd want on a warm day.

A very strong 4.5 in my view.

If you are looking for a quaint place with an indoor and outdoor area serving great coffee, this is it. I haven't tried most of their food options but they seem to have some interesting choices on offer. They have a very good selection of coffee and if you are an espresso person, you won't regret it even with the indian origin beans. Combined with the excellent staff who are knowledgeable, communicate really well and are friendly yet professional, this has to be one of chennai's best.

I would have rated them a 5 if it weren't for one thing (it may not be important or impact others). It isn't what I would strictly call a 'cafe'. Their food options border on being more of a restaurant - some pasta choices, salads, sandwiches, fries among other things but one has to order upfront at the counter. Even with restaurants, I value a limited food menu and a 'focussed' approach rather than the 'have something for everyone' type of place.
