TLDR: The hospitality differs with people visited and staffs available. Food tastes from ok to good.
They don't really look after customers, I asked for each and everything when we had no idea how the shop works(is it self service, do we have to pay forward to get the meal, some shopkeepers expect to dispose the plates ourselves how is it here etc). We were not sure where the shop ends and are we getting seated in the correct shop as tables were placed in areas clubbed together.
There were 3 people in total for the shop to run, the cashier, helper/manager guy, the cook. Due to shortage of staffs the manager guy was the one serving food and noting the orders, cashier guy takes care of cash and removing the leftovers on the table & cleaning them. It was like a self service shop where we just order food, wait for our turn and get food.
We had crab gravy with dosa which was really good, a bit spicy but good taste. Chutney was ok, Chicken gravy and others are ok but not as tasty as crab gravy. There were no fish fry or prawn fry available for breakfast. They said it only starts around 12pm...
Read moreI had Lunch by today evening at 4PM. It's very bad experience. I asked what are the side dishes available. He said everything is available. i choosed vanjaram fish, prawn fry and chicken masala fry from show case menu(showing every fish varieties after frying) on the front table. I got prawn fry within 5 mints. It's really very tasty. After that he given vanjaram fish, it's very worst, because fully burn and smelly.
I saw, he took vanjaram fish directly from show case menu. i guess he don't have any extra fish. So he is frying again and served. I ate only one piece, then I feel vomiting. Because it's completely burning smell. How dare they are given such a bad food to customers. So Myself and my wife argued finally 150Rs fish, i paid only 50Rs.
I given 2 star because prawn fry and chicken really awesome. Please treat your customers very carefully, for prawn fry they charged 130rs. It's really worthy, even if they are asked 200rs i can give. But food quality should be...
Read moreIt's a small shop with an open space on the beach side. You can't expect much hygiene here. About the taste of food simply wow. If you crave for seafood, this is the place you must visit. Mostly only fresh seafood is served here unlike other big restaurants where frozen seafood is served. And "the" best dish that I have tried here is "Thenga Paarai 65" wow its too good. You don't get the bad old fish smell nothing but just the taste of fresh fish. You might mistaken this dish for chicken at first because I did. There are no bone pieces at all in this dish, it is deep fried. It costs around 120 Rs for 5 pieces, worth the cost and must try. The restaurant should probably make this as their signature dish. And other than this you have all other varieties of seafood as well which tastes good too. You get prawn, squid, variety of fishes, crab. Buy a meals and have it with any of the side dishes above. A...
