Rating only for Chicken Madfoon..
Palmshore is Turning out to be my favorite restaurant in chennai due to it brilliant arabian food...and recently i had learned about this Chicken Madfoon and full goat mandi that they have started serving.. So eager to check out this Chicken Madfoon Mandi i did visit their santhome outlet...
This is probably the oldest outlet of palmshore but this too has been given a facelift recently and it looks too good...Seating capacity divided into 2 floors this is a well maintained place with sufficient seating capacity that's not mush cramped too.. The Parking seems to more than sufficient for this place for sure...
The Service is quick with efficient and friendly manager/captains and prompt quick and polite servers.. Waiting time is less and food is served perfectly...The Madfoon had to served and the server was very efficient and served it perfectly...
Chicken Madfoon Mandi : This is a package in itself that can serve 2-3 ppl..It starts with a Soup and then has a salad and finishes off with the Mandi itself.. The Soup was Laham Shorba which was more or less like pepper soup but with chunks of meat and liver...spicy and for the cool climate it was really good.. The Salad was Broccoli Honey dew which was basically Broccoli, carrots and beans tossed in honey...
The Madfoon was very well served it had a bed of mandi rice on top of which sat a whole chicken that was stuffed with Biryani and eggs and cooked with a covering of banana leaf in a arabian pot of sorts.. First up the Chicken was so tender and soft and very well marinated in the masalas and also was so perfectly cooked that the meat was literally falling of the bones...
The Biryani stuffed inside the Chicken had absorbed the masalas and was too good in taste... Ppl who love masaledar biryani would definitely love this one.. Was very flavorful and aromatic..
The Mandi served along with this was one of the best i have had in chennai.. Loaded with cashews and raisins this one was too good...and on the whole the Madfoon Chicken Mandi is a Must try...Served along with Onions coated in vinegar, tomato chutney that usually accompanies the mandi and dates pickle which was too good...
Sizzling Brownie(rs 200) : Pretty Decent Stuff and nothing out of the ordinary here...
Body cooler(rs 80) : Water melon and Cucumber based drink that was thick and well made and helped wash down the meal perfectly..
Lemon Mint(rs 65) : The Regular Stuff...well made and served perfectly chilled...
Though Palmshore serves some good food i would limit this review to urge you to try the Chicken Madfoon Mandi...It was very good with some yummy and lip smaking mandi and Biryani.. And the chicken itself my god was too good...Am salivating as am writing this review...Priced at 690rs it was completely worth it and totally recommended...
Note : The Order for the Mandi madfoon needs to confirmed minimum 4 hrs...
Read moreSubject: Disappointing Experience at Palmshore Restaurant on Diwali Festival
Date: November 12, 2023
I am writing to express my disappointment with the dining experience I had at Palmshore Restaurant on the occasion of Diwali festival on November 12th. A group of friends and I decided to celebrate the festival with a dinner at your establishment. However, our experience was marred by the service we received, particularly from a waiter named Bikash.
We ordered the Chicken Almondine Sizzler, which was supposed to be served with French fries according to the menu. Unfortunately, when the dish arrived, the fries were missing. Upon bringing this to Bikash's attention, he casually mentioned that we arrived late, and the dish was not served as a result. He admitted that it was an oversight and showed little regard for our dissatisfaction.
What made matters worse was Bikash's rude attitude and lack of professionalism. When we questioned why we weren't informed about the delay, he responded dismissively and made no effort to rectify the situation promptly. To make matters even more perplexing, he miraculously produced the missing fries within a minute. It was baffling to witness how a plate of fries could be prepared so swiftly. Adding insult to injury, he audaciously suggested that the oversight should be regarded as a complimentary addition, despite our having already paid for the complete meal.
To add insult to injury, when we asked Bikash to check if the fries were hot and crispy as they should be, he proceeded to touch every piece and assured us they were suitable for consumption. This behavior was not only unprofessional but also disrespectful, as it seemed he was attempting to instruct us on how to assess the quality of our food.
Despite bringing the matter to the attention of the duty manager, there was no resolution. Bikash continued to display a lack of respect by speaking negatively about us in another language. We also reported the incident to Mr. Shabas, but no action was taken, and no apologies were offered by Bikash.
This experience has left a sour taste, and I strongly urge Palmshore Restaurant to invest in better-trained and more professional staff to avoid tarnishing the reputation of your establishment. Customers should not have to endure such disrespectful behaviour, especially during festive occasions. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, and necessary steps are taken to ensure such incidents do not recur in the future.
Sincerely,
Mohammed...
Read moreBeen to this restaurant on 12 November definitely I would say it was worst experience ever . Firstly as soon I been inside the hotel premise I requested for the upper desk seating but the service person said it’s not in operational. I have been forced to take the left over seats in the ground floor despite of knowing it’s not possible during a busy Festival days . Significant I noticed a bunched of people getting down upstairs I asked the same to the service man who previously stated “it’s not operational “he came with to new cook up story saying it’s been fully occupied . Evidently I understand he said to fill the felt over space in the ground floor .
Meanwhile we ordered the food they took 30 minutes to serve in my table . Predominately I’m not a racist to say but I saw this thing they service and care for Muslim it seems to be amazing I was clue less when order been served swiftly to them . Finally I was so Curious to taste their hot beverage ( signature drink which given as compliment ) when I requested to the service men he said it’s over and it’s available only by evening . I was puzzled by this reply because I saw the same drink which he was serving to family ( Muslim ) who were seated over my right .
I’m highly disappointed with this behaviour as well when I requested a call for his manager the service man said he is on leave . Most of all I felt awful the service man don’t have tendency to speak seeking the customer face . I really felt like why the heck u have the smirk on your face . Again I’m not the racist to point out people who follow their belief but I hate the second treatment you did to me . Despite I paid the stated bill .
Please learn from your holy book how to treat common people and stop lying of ur lazy to...
