Not good for party booking, they don't give service they promised, not proper tabeling I asked no dining mat tissue paper on table not put buffet at right time, manger said I don't know about your party wait I will arrange one by one I called suresh ji, he said u are late so I m late I said guest is there party place should be ready it's you duty. even manger did not asked guest for water and juices hall was not ready for party no ac when I asked them switch on the ac my guest reached earlier then me at 5.40 pm I came there from 40 km away at 6.15. I already directed everything what and how I want one weekago by visiting resturant. when I asked to remove extra sofa and table for cake cutting then they did, , manger said no round table for cake no cake bottom trai , served juice in small coffee disposal cup, another juice they served half glass that time only 12 people still half, gave wooden spoon to eat dinner in buffet no fork for noodle I asked manger he said I don't provide when I become angry then they gave steel fork. Bigger mistake they took two booking concurrent so they don't allow my decorater to decorate hall he waited 3 hour there, my decoration money wasted my party was started 5.30 decoration has to finish at 4 as I directed and already. they said you can send decorater at 2.o clock have no issue to restuarant. But till 5 pm the another party was there they did not inform me about another party. Come to menu veg kurma was runny like water and paneer was rubber no one eaten that food only manchurian, pineapple kesari , biryani was good in taste they ruined the main course. As I saw his taste and service in regular dining it was not same for party they get booking after that they taken for granted, they promised i have to put 5 person for ur booking it was 2 person there only I asked how u will mange one stand here and second go for bring food from downstairs and other work. even that was not dining or rush time in beginning. Read moreProbably the worst customer service I’ve experienced ever in my lifetime so far….. First the ambience is good & food taste / quality is also good. But it’s worth even giving a negative rating for the service they render. We went here on 1may2024 & ordered Briyani, meals, chati choru & couple of fish fries which they started serving after 90 mins, yes u read it right after 90 mins. 1st 2 chati choru got served & each of it was looking different & could clearly make out that items were missing on the chati, but the waiters had no clue of this, I called for the chef who never turned up Next the meals - just 2/5 meals got served & after we made some noise rest was served, again many items were missing in the plate briyani - below avg Briyani for the price & raitha was served after we completed the meal. In fact I feel guilty of complaining so much about the place, we walked directly into the kitchen & found there were so many people who had no clue of cooking is what I believe. Then for gods sake why do u accept customers, better shut for few days, set right ur things n then open back. It was similar reactions from other customers as well. In fact the Cashier girl was saying this is the everyday scene here n the manager is taking no actions. If the owner of the place is ever reading this review pls pay visit n see the sorry state of...
Read moreI recently visited The Coastal Taste Family Restaurant hoping to get a taste of authentic Kerala cuisine. The place has a simple, family-style setup, nothing fancy, but comfortable enough for a relaxed meal. We started with the nandu rasam (crab rasam). It was warm and flavourful, but the crab didn’t come through; it felt like it had been added later rather than cooked into the rasam. The karimeen pollichathu was definitely the standout, fresh fish, well-spiced, and well-cooked. We also tried the jumbo prawn roast and beef ularthiyathu. Both had potential but needed a bit more attention to seasoning. The kappa and fish curry combo was decent, the kappa was nice, but the fish curry tasted more Tamil than Kerala, missing those typical Kerala spice notes. We also tried the non-veg Kerala meals which were quite elaborate (fish curry, fry, chicken curry, a couple of veggies, rasam, moru, rice, papadam, payasam). Generous, but again, the flavours felt more like a mix of Kerala and Tamil styles. To be fair, the menu is quite diverse, it includes Chettinad food, Arabic grills, biryani, shawarma, chaat, Chinese, pizza, and pasta. So if you’re going with a group that has varied preferences, this place works. If you're specifically after traditional Kerala food, set your expectations right. But for a casual meal with lots of options, it's a...
