As soon as I sat down the server, Ina, grabbed my chair and helped my seat while waiting patiently to place the lovely cloth napkin provided on my lap (which was great quality). There was live music which was a delightful surprise as well. My drink was super refreshing, and what was more refreshing was that they offered a great non-alcoholic selection. I give the virgin Mojito a solid (4/5 Stars). The appetizer “Chicken Pandan”, was presented beautifully with a tasty sauce. The chicken was well done as well if you like that style (3.8/5 Stars). The main course was my favourite, “Melted Cheese Chicken (MC2)”. It was so tasty and it had so many elements, colours, and was cheesy and creamy (4.5/5 stars). To top it all off, the desert (Chocolate Lava Cake W Ice cream) was an explosion of chocolatey goodness and the photo speaks for itself even without the middle ooey gooey centre exposed yet. Overall I am really happy with the service of everything and the vibe here is really cozy and beautiful. Probably the most beautiful restaurant I went to in Bali! Happy my husband and I came here for the last night of our one year...
Read moreWe had dinner at Amateras Restaurant in Ubud and overall had a nice experience, thanks in large part to our wonderful server, Anis. She was absolutely fantastic — attentive, friendly, and genuinely welcoming. She made sure we were looked after throughout the evening and added a personal touch to the service that really stood out.
The restaurant also treated us to a complimentary bruschetta, which was a nice surprise to start the meal. The Balinese-style performance during dinner created a great atmosphere and made for an enjoyable cultural experience.
The food itself was okay — decent flavours, but the portion sizes were quite small, especially given the higher-than-average prices for the area. For what we paid, I expected either more generous servings or something a bit more impressive.
All in all, it’s a beautiful venue with excellent service (special thanks again to Anis!), and a lovely spot if you’re after a good atmosphere and attentive staff. Just be aware the food might not deliver the same wow factor...
Read moreWe stopped by this restaurant with my mom to escape a heavy rainstorm and decided to have an early dinner. While the service was friendly, our order took 40 minutes to arrive, likely because the kitchen is located far away on top of the hills.
We ordered shrimp, which were decent, but the tuna bruschetta and tuna tartare were absolutely disappointing. The bruschetta was advertised as having feta cheese, but it contained almost none, and I’m 99% sure the tuna was straight out of a can, served in large chunks on small pieces of toast. As for the tuna tartare, it also seemed to be canned tuna, oddly grilled, which completely defeats the purpose of tartare. It was just two large slabs of tuna placed on toast with avocado—not what I expected at all.
While the view is undeniably beautiful, the food felt like a tourist trap, especially given the high prices. I wouldn’t recommend it unless you’re only there for...
