I recently visited Bottega Italiana Berawa in search of authentically crafted pasta dishes that had received rave reviews. As a vegetarian, I was eager to sample their vegetarian pasta options, hoping for a delightful culinary experience. However, my anticipation quickly turned to disappointment when I found out that they were unwilling to accommodate my dietary preferences. The food tasted just ok. The pasta cooked well but the seasoning is almost bland. Staffs are NOT friendly nor helpful. The place looks good but the seats are not really comfortable.

For the food taste, perhaps i put too high expectation - expecting rich Italian taste with strong tomato / seafood flavor just like when i was there. But looks like it's designed for bule2 in general 😊 + there were no s&p on the table so it was not very inviting to add on to suit my taste.

Regarding your staff, it was difficult to call them. I think there were 2 waitresses? And both of them stood by far inside near the kitchen. I sat outside right in front of the door but I need extra effort to get them notice me calling them.

One of our order was not delivered. We remember correctly that she took the order - she mentioned it when she reviewed our order. When we followed up, she said “let me check” but no return. And then when we followed up for the 2nd time, she said “let me check” again and said that we didn’t order that. We ended up requesting the menu to order another drink.

I don’t remember clearly but there was something wrong again with the drink when it came - we ordered cold but the one that came is hot if i’m not mistaken. Anyways during these exchanges her expression is far from friendly..

In terms of the seats, we initially sat outside but it was directly under a tree so we were concerned as leafs / animals could fall directly to our plates. Then we moved to the long table right in front of the the door and sat for 2-3hours but after that our bottoms were sore... so that might be something else...

Horrible Service will never go back.

We are dinner here tonight and to say we are disappointed is an understatement.

After being seated it took over 25 minutes for someone to come take our order

after the order was taken they returned to tell us that they are sold out of one of the. Reads we wanted and that we had to choose something else ( it was 6:30pm)

staff in the kitchen sitting/ leaning against the bench next to the coffee machine talking laughing and on their phones.

we waited over 45 min for our food whilst staff in the kitchen are mucking around

3/4 meals came out at once the other meal came out 5 minutes later

our main meals came out and the breads came out after we had nearly ate our mains (shouldn’t they have came out first?)

when the food came out no staff member offered us salt or pepper after 5 minutes and repeated attempts to get staff members attention and constantly being ignored we got up walked over to the kitchen counter and reached over and got the salt and pepper ourselves.

the bread also came out with no balsamic vinegar or oil. And we had to repeatedly ask for it. We only got 1 drink in 2 hours the staff would just pretend we didn’t exist when trying to order more!

the staff member came over towards the end and asked “ how is everything “ I responded saying “well not very good to be honest” she just stood there with. Shocked look on her face and walk away!

I do not recommend this...
