After 10 years of being a loyal customer if not the most loyal, mostly going there four times a week over the past two years, sometime twice a day, with friends or my wife, we have decided that it's the end. I gave this place many chances over the last six months, but it’s now finished. The owner must be losing her mind, with constant price increases, shrinking portions, and recipe changes.
The prices have gone up significantly over the past few years, seemingly every 3 to 6 months. But what’s even more frustrating is that they’ve started changing portion sizes and recipes. The quality of the meat has gone downhill so unfortunately i don’t even bother ordering the steak anymore which i used to take every time in Large size with the beef carpaccio in large size too. The most shocking moment was when they replaced the homemade mayonnaise with a cheap industrial version. Thankfully, after several complaints from regular customers, they brought the original back. But then, they changed the cut of the fries, making them so small they resemble chips now. My average bill has increased from 600k to almost 1million in the last 6 months ordering exactly the same things every time. Total joke.
Our last visit was the final straw. The beef carpaccio had changed once again, and now you have to pay extra for mozzarella, which used to be included. That’s it – we won’t be returning, and I’m sure we’re not the only ones as the place feels noticeably quieter than before.
To top it off, a simple fresh juice now costs 70k.
A note to the owner: you can’t justify raising your prices by comparing them to Canggu when your restaurant is 20 years old and your tableware looks like something from my grandmother’s...
Read moreThis delightful cafe is only a short walk from where I live so I go there quite often.
I found it years ago and each time I go, the smiling staff greet me by my name which is a lovely welcome.
I go here to have a quiet corner to work in and to enjoy the beautiful ambience, good service and great coffee. I highly recommend this cafe.
One thing I like with this establishment is that the owner is often there which I like to see. Unless you go often you probably wouldn't notice him or his family as they blend in and are quietly 'present' in their business. You don't see this often enough in Bali, but for me it's a good thing to see that they take an interest in their business, staff and customers.
The staff are very pleasant, courteous and efficient. Every now and again you'll see them at the rear right of the cafe with the blessings area near their back pool area. I don't recall seeing this in any other place I've been too with the exception of the blessings done at the front door.
This is one place for me that perfectly reflects 'Bali'...tropical surrounds, palms indoors and lining the outside façade, interesting decor, hteat lighting design, the sweet scent of incense wafting through, smiling faces, great coffee, drinks and food...and so much more.
It's immaculately clean and you can see their little bustling kitchen which runs like clockwork.
Café Bali is definitely a place to visit when in Bali 🙂🙏

Read moreMy wife and I are frequent patrons of Cafe Bali and it's no surprise why - it's simply fantastic. The standout dish for us has to be the pasta - it's without a doubt the best in Seminyak, and quite possibly the best in Bali. The texture of the pasta is always cooked to perfection, making every bite a delight.
But it's not just the food that keeps us coming back - the extremely warm and friendly staff make every visit a memorable one. In fact, on our most recent visit, one of the staff members even remembered us from our previous dining experience. It's little touches like these that make Cafe Bali truly special.
The ambience is also great - the interior is tastefully decorated and gives off a relaxed and welcoming vibe. It's the perfect place to enjoy a meal with loved ones, whether it's a romantic date or a casual get-together with friends.
Lastly, I have to mention the toilet - it's nothing short of amazing. It's always impeccably clean, and the attention to detail in the design makes it a noteworthy feature of the restaurant.
Overall, Cafe Bali is definitely one of the best dining experiences in Seminyak, if not all of Bali. The pasta alone is worth a visit, but the warm and friendly staff, great ambience, and amazing toilet make it an all-around exceptional place to dine. Highly...
