The Library — Restaurant in Bali

I Went to this little place with my fiance on Saturday 18/5 on our first day in Seminyak. The was our first meal of the day. We Sat upstairs and I ordered the buttermilk chicken and waffles with mushroom and truffle sauce. The food came in good time and was very well presented but was very mild in taste, nothing amazing, in addition the chicken I think was not completely cooked (it looked cooked, and white like chicken should) and Unfortunately i was not aware of this while I ate. I did come across a chewy rubbery (1 of 3 pieces) which I ended up not eating. Since we were upstairs it took a bit of time to get the bill as the waitress was downstairs. We paid and went about your day only to discover within a couple of hours of leaving that i now had severe food poisoning.

It is now the 20/5 and I am slowly getting better but this has definitely affected our holiday experience in Seminyak and has left me bound the the inside of my villa. Hopefully I'm better before we leave on...

Had a bad experience here so I'm going out of my way to write a review. I arrived here around lunch time to work on my computer. Downstairs was all occupied so I sat upstairs. There were no lights on, but there was some sunlight filtering in. The menu was hard to read as a result. I ordered a coffee and pulled out my computer, and went down to ask for the wifi password. They said the wifi was down. I said then I'd rather cancel my order and go to another cafe. They said wifi was down all over in Seminyak because of some cable being down. I called a few cafes next door and they all said their wifi was functioning fine. Not a great experience being lied to! Also it's very hot and the air conditioners don't seem to be doing their job. Walking around in the hot midday sun of Seminyak we needed a place to stop off for some aircon, cold beers and a spot of lunch.

Randomly stumbled upon The Library cafe and restaurant. Beautiful decor, high ceilings, architecturally book lined walls and an amazingly simple and striking menu with very reasonable prices and great portion sizes.

Myself and two friends ordered the penne Napolitana, spicy tuna spaghetti, chicken and avocado salad, spaghetti aglio e olio and pork ribs which were deep fried and had an amazing flavour blend of hickory Texas BBQ sauce crossed with Chinese five spice.

Great respite from the heat and an incredible meal and service that we would return for any day.
