Dangerous Beach Club with unethical management. Visit at your own risk. — Summary: As a VIP guest at Finns Beach Club, I suffered painful burn injuries (1-2a degree) after being hit by fireworks launched by Finns. The injuries have left a scar on my body. Finns Beach Club had dismissed my experience, refused to take responsibility for the incident and their manager even blocked me on WhatsApp. — The incident occurred at Finns Beach Club at around 7:15pm on 17 June 2024. My group of 12 friends were excited to visit Finns Beach Club as they claimed to be “The World’s Best Beach Club”.
We had booked two VIP tables with a sea view beside the beach and around sunset, fireworks were being launched from the beach at a short distance away from our tables. While looking at the fireworks display, I suddenly felt a sharp pain on my left hip area. The feeling was akin to a slingshot hitting me at high impact and I realised that the fireworks had hit me. I sat down to check on the wound and saw that it started bleeding. I immediately cried due to the pain and shock from the impact of the fireworks.
My friends alerted the Finns staff immediately. However, staff appeared lost and took some time to provide help. There appeared to be a lack of any standardised procedure or staff training of any sort to deal with my injury, despite its seriousness. Staff gave inappropriate medical advice (including putting ice on my wound, which caused me more pain, before being told to stop by another staff), resulting in the delay of proper treatment of my injury. This is gross negligence in terms of safety standards and medical protocol.
After the incident, we got in contact with Finns' manager, Mr Matthew Browning. Mr Browning appeared dismissive of my injury and trauma and insisted over Whatsapp that it was a minor incident. After we pointed out the seriousness of the incident, Mr Browning attributed the fireworks incident to a third-party company and merely stated that Finns would "monitor the situation closely", instead of taking responsibility and conducting a thorough review of their safety protocol and staff training for emergencies.
Finns has so far refused to offer any monetary compensation to account for my injuries and trauma suffered, as well as ruining the night for my group of friends. Finns, through Mr Browning, offered a complimentary deluxe bed for 6 pax at Finns Beach Club as compensation. The burn injuries left a permanent scar on my body and it’s not something a “complimentary deluxe bed” can ever make up for. The rest of my Bali trip was also ruined as I wasn’t able to enjoy any water activities.
Bizarrely, after responding to Mr Browning's offer, he stopped replying to my emails and even blocked me and on WhatsApp. Finn’s higher management has also remained silent despite me contacting them through several platforms. This is extremely unprofessional and unethical, which leads me to conclude that Finns Beach Club had dismissed my negative experience and refused to take responsibility for the fireworks incident.
On a separate note, I wish to highlight that fireworks were set up within close proximity to the VIP table which my friends and I were located. This puts us and other guests at serious risk of injury from stray shrapnel or debris from the fireworks. No shielding of any sort was in place to guard against this risk. My friend who was behind me had also gotten hit by the fireworks shrapnel at his ankle but was not injured. When I visited the clinic in Bali, the doctor had classified my burn injury to be of 1-2a degree. I am fortunate enough that the fireworks shrapnel hit my hip area. I dare not imagine what would’ve happened if the shrapnels hit my face or my eye area.
Needless to say, the experience at Finns Beach Club was a very physically and mentally traumatic one for me. They refused to acknowledge the severity of this incident and failed to understand that their current facilitation of fireworks is a highly dangerous activity capable of scarring and blinding their guests, among other...
Read moreI recently visited FINNS Beach Club, and overall it was a vibrant and memorable experience, combining a lively party atmosphere with impressive facilities and a stunning beachfront view. The moment I entered, I could feel the energy of the place—it’s clearly designed to impress and to be a hub for both locals and international travelers looking for fun, music, and social vibes.
Ambience and Atmosphere: The atmosphere is electric, especially in the evening when the lights, music, and beachside setting all come together. With multiple pools, bars, and lounging areas, it feels like a mix between a luxury resort and a high-energy club. The sound of waves in the background adds an extra touch of tropical magic. At night, the lighting design really makes the space come alive, creating a festival-like mood that is perfect for groups of friends or anyone looking to celebrate.
Food and Drinks: The food menu offers a solid range of options, from light bites to heartier dishes. The quality is good, though I felt the pricing is slightly higher compared to other beachside venues in Bali. The cocktails, however, are well-executed and worth trying—refreshing, strong, and perfect for poolside enjoyment. Bottle service and group drink packages are also available for those planning to stay and party longer.
Service: The staff were generally friendly and efficient, though during peak hours service could be a little slow, especially when the venue was packed. Despite the crowds, the team managed to remain professional and helpful, making sure drinks and food were delivered as quickly as possible. They also do a good job of maintaining cleanliness in such a busy environment.
Facilities and Comfort: The pools are the centerpiece, and swimming while DJs play music in the background is an experience in itself. The cabanas and daybeds are comfortable but do come at a premium price, so I recommend booking in advance if you plan to spend the whole day. The restrooms are well-maintained for such a large venue, which is a big plus.
Location: Situated right on the beach, FINNS has an unbeatable location. Watching the sunset here is simply stunning, and the transition from a chill sunset lounge vibe to a full-blown nightlife scene is seamless. The convenience of being close to other Canggu attractions makes it a solid stop for travelers.
Overall Impression: FINNS Beach Club is a must-visit if you’re in Bali and looking for a day-to-night entertainment spot. It’s not just a beach club—it’s a destination in itself, blending relaxation with high-energy partying. While prices are on the higher side and service can get stretched at peak times, the overall experience is worth it for the memories, atmosphere, and energy you’ll get here.
I would recommend it especially for groups of friends, party lovers, and anyone who wants to enjoy Bali’s nightlife in style. If you’re looking for quiet, intimate dining, this might not be your spot, but for socializing, dancing, and soaking up the tropical vibes, FINNS delivers.

Monica was insistent that we leave a review within 10 minutes of arriving and that we use her name so we are.
The food was alright. Mixed drinks were the worst I have ever had (Can’t stress this enough). If you go, drink beer and wine. Tried to change in their changing room but was told it was only for customers buying things in their shop not paying customers at the club. Even though it is a “club” there were lots of kids splashing and digging in the sand right next to our booked chairs (Even though they have beach access). Showed up and were told they will not hold our spot for 5 min even though it is a 10 min security line to get in followed by a 5 minute wait for people who booked online in advance. Once we did get past all the lines it was 2:15 but we were lucky enough that no one had taken our booked chairs. Decent atmosphere, but would not go back. Even if they offered to buy my plane ticket and give me a free stay and day bed. The sunset is as cool as anywhere else in Bali. Everything they do is for profit and not customer satisfaction. They pressure people into good reviews that is why they have them. At dinner now and my wife has thrown up and has the runs, touch of Bali Belly from your world’s greatest beach club. I am aware this review doesn’t really matter because they will still service 4,000+ people a day but just know what you are getting.
Can’t reply so I will edit. Maybe let all your staff know about these luxurious changing rooms as my wife was directed to change in the crowded bathroom. Our car was waved right through without being checked. Also not worried about the security, just off put that we showed up at 2 and were told our table won’t be held if and someone takes it they get it because we weren’t on time even though we were in the security line. I thought we were in the adult only section but I guess we were not. To top it off I watched one of your bartenders play with a clean glass flipping it on his hand and dropping it into a dirty sink just to pull it out and place it on top of the clean glasses. I am assuming this is where the Bali Belly comes from. As we have chatted with other tourists we have heard similar stories. Good job forcing people into writing reviews while your staff stand around to ensure you get the reviews you want. We asked your staff to leave several times as I don’t like to write reviews until I have experienced a place. Keep...
