Tokyo Skipjack — Restaurant in Bali

One of d best recommended places to go if u are in Seminyak.

If u had missed this place out and you are still around d area, then go on over. D choice of steak they prepared is totally high end. Make your choice and have ur fill. D meat prepared on your plate doesnt actually need much sauce or additional seasonings, koz it is already delicious by itself.

We actually had the burger as well and it was yuummmmyyyy.. it would be rated as one of the best that i had eaten. The fries that comes along with d burger tasted great too, not those type of Mc fries that you get...

All in all, with drinks, food and great ambience, the place wouldnt deserve any lesser than a five. N yes, there are only 2 outlets in Indonesia, one in Jakarta while d other is in Bali.

BUT there is a downside. For fellow strict qMUSLIMS, pls stay away as they do sell wines/beers here. If u are judging me for this, head to Paris or even Turkey, and u will be welcomed by restaurants saying Yes Halal, but with wine and beers..

Coming back, im not saying its ok, koz its an individual choice. Nway, the place is along the main hipster area of Seminyak. Its jz opposite a mall.

🤬🤬🤬”Before I die”… don’t go here for a ”Steak experience”. They know nothing about steaks.

I looked forward to a juicy steak with golden french fries topped by this yummy balinese sea salt. Instead I got a chewy meat piece and some not crispy golden french fries.

I should have known as there was no customers there but us. That’s a sign. Should I have read the resumés here I would also gone elsewhere…

The poor waiter said ”this is how we always serve our french fries” when we asked for the ones described on the menu.

I was hungry and ate the meat.

The ”rub” I couldn’t feel nor anything. The sides and sauces where messy added to the plate.

Really disappointed.

Cheap though. But I’d rather pay more to get an experience than for something I won’t eat…

Initially, we had our hesitations about this restaurant as we arrived around 1830 and we were the first costumers there. Our fears disappeared quickly once our food arrived. The steaks were cooked well (medium rare) and everything was very tasty. I only wish we would be allowed to select more sauces to go with the steak and that we'd get more of it. The place is semi-outdoors and cooled by fans, so it can be quite hot. It's located in the center of Seminyak, so it is very easy to reach as well. Overall, I think this is a great family friendly...
