Yoga Cafe — Restaurant in Bali

I was happy to eat/drink from time to time in this warung. I found the ladies nice, the food good, except for the juices. But I won't go there anymore: out of jealousy and greed, they build an awful big wall just before the very popular warung of their neighbors, so they lost all their clients. And they want to make them pay for the view! Because it is their ricefield! Unbelievable and so gross! They lost one client (and I am not even a client of the other warung) and will lose many others. In other countries, they would be judged and forced to destroy the wall. And then, they would be obliged to pay a huge fine to the neighbors. How people in the neighborhood could stay quiet and do nothing! Such a shame! I thought they were good people but...

I have came here for lunch after the walk before. The view is nice but food is not that impressive. The next door is much better so I went there more often. Today I noticed there was a strange wall built and learnt that the owner of this place did it. I think it's very unkind to do this to their neighbour. Instead of doing unnecessary harms to the people who work hard and put a lot of effort to improve their service and food, they should find a win win situation. We love Balinese small villages because people are looking out for each other. Their act puts a bad name on them. After seeing the owner's replies, it makes me feel even more disappointed and will not recommend to other people due to the attitude...

We didn't try the restaurant, so this review is specifically about the money exchange service next to it. While the exchange rate offered is quite good, it is unfortunately used as a tactic to scam customers.

When exchanging money, the person gives you the cash in parts to count, then takes it back under the pretense of recounting it for you. Like a magician, he subtly removes some bills without you noticing.

We were lucky enough to recount our money on the way out and realized we were short 200,000 IDR. When we returned to confront him, we found the missing money conveniently placed on the table, as if we had simply forgotten it.

Absolutely dishonest—BEWARE...
