Karsa Kafe — Restaurant in Bali

In a nutshell a unique cool restaurant with slightly above average food but very cool atmosphere.

Atmosphere / decor I'd normally start with the food but the reason to come is actually the decor. Very unique from entrance to the toilet. The entire place is oozing of spirituality and positivity (not in too much of a cheesy way). The front starts with small set of plants and prayer statues. You enter through a big circular door with engravings on the wood. And it spins around (which makes for some cool videos). We sat on the ground floor on pillows on the floor next a stream/fountain. Very nice and peaceful touch. I would try to get a seat upstairs on the balcony though. This reflects the decor throughout. The highlight thought was walking up to the toilet. The steps are lined with marigolds into a clean cool looking toilet. My description does no justice. Just get there!

Food Decent menu of food options and an expansive list of juices, shakes, and such. Juices were good. I was impressed with the variety and fruit types they had.

The food was good but nothing to shout about. We shared chicken satay, summer rolls, and a quesadilla. Quantities felt on the smaller side for Bali but quality and taste were decent. Not a ringing endorsement but a safe food option where you will not be disappointed if you're staying in Ubud, especially if you're veggie.

Service Excellent service. A very attentive staff who seated us promptly with no reservation. Quick but not over bearing and very nice.

All in all I'd go again if there but do think there cheaper / better options in terms of actual food. Definitely worth going at least once for the...

Why places who are most advertised on tourist sites are usually the worst experience of the trip.This place just look so nice on the pictures.And here I come to reality, staff who didn't even bother to greet-well, that didn't really bother me.. So off I went to sit..well there was a table free- covered in dirty dishes,call the staff to clean it, took them forever to decide who should actually go and do the chore..as much I figured out from their looks and discussions.Well then boy come..collect the dishes and I have to point out that the table is still dirty from the food and sugar everywhere..even on the chairs..which he didn't bother to clean so I just fixed it by flipping the chair for another one.Well now was the time to order: Lady came to take my order: I want coconut juice- "We don't have" the answer come, orange, sorry not have.Ok get me cafe, finally came answer, ok and bring me the Apple strudel with it. Here again the " we don't have answer come" and with similar tries with yet another 3 items on the menu I just gave up."So what you have" This this and this.From all desert menu they had 3 items.Well made sense why the other guests sitting in this place had all same looking unappealing pizza😂.So off I went in hunt for another place and finished in near by Janata resort.And that would be my recomendation for everyone passing this place..Just keep walking few extra hundred meters and this beautiful resort comes on your right hand side,bit hidden gate looking like average Balinese house.And yes..I hope you enjoyed this...

Caffee ambiance : 100% LIT for someone who like calm, peaceful nature. Its ricefield view. And fish pond. With family? No problem they have big area to sit. From gazebo( sitting on the floor ) or sit with chair.

Food : Taste good. Better than standard food.

Drink : Nicely made.

Service : They only take CASH. So please prepare youself.

Beer : Only Bintang 😁

Wifi : Good

Overall about cafe is superb.

Problem : its in remoted area, closed to 4stars Hotel Resort , no small warung/store around. Make sure if you go with bike, you fill your tank fully and bring enough cash with you. And the road it self was crazy. You will go through 50° slope, up and down. If you using bike, make sure your bike is a good one. With car? Make sure your car has good power to bring you up and down.
