I recently dined for lunch at Dago Panyawangan Restaurant in Bandung, and it was an absolutely delightful experience! Nestled in a picturesque location, the restaurant offers stunning views of the surrounding hills and city, making it a perfect spot for a memorable meal.

One of the best classic sundanese style restaurant in Bandung. It is easy to find, from the pasopati flyover, turn left on Juanda street, towards dago then on the left side about 400 m after Boromeus hospital. It has very spacious and semi open spaces, so that you don't have to worry in this new normal time, and it also has spacious parking space on the backyard. The last time I was here before last month was about 10 years ago, and surprisingly the food quality and tastes were still the same. All of their grilled fish and seafood were excellent. Last time we had grilled carp fish, deep fried squid, deep fried stuffed tofu and karedok (sundanese raw style salad with peanuts sauce dressing), served with nasi tutug oncom (spicy steamed rice mixed with fermented soya beans). Restoran lama yg rasanya sdh harus facelift. Suasana sunda memang kental, parkiran lumayan luas walau akses ke parkiran belakang mesti dirapikan lg.

Akan lebih baik pencahayaan dan tata letak meja dibenahi. Area lesehan juga rasanya trlalu terisolir sendiri, agak jauh dr front desk.

Bicara makanan mungkin kembali ke selera. Compare with another famous sundanese resto, Dago panyawangan bisa jd satu alternatif yg oke (overall 7 out of 10)

Nasi bakar belum se"tasty" yg dibayangkan namun oke lah. Nasi tutug oncom malah surprisingly "outstanding". Udang tepungnya seger, walo lidah kami merasa kurang di MSG sedikit heee..

Untuk Ayam, pilihan jatuh ke ayam goreng yg boleh dibilang "Pas Pisan" rasanya, sayang, ayam bakarnya msh di level aman saja, belum Wow.

Bumbu gurame bakar trmasuk yg bikin kami ngangguk2 sambil menggumam "Mmm..enak". Tp please improve and eliminate "bau tanah" after taste yg masih sedikit "ka ambeu". Ya walo jujur sih ga trlalu ganggu, tapi ada kecium, tp dikit, tp ya itu, tapi apa ya, tp ya udhlah gpp heee.

Karedok nya segerr. Tahu cabe garam msh bisa ditambahin lil'bit seasoning deh klo kata chef juna.

Ikan asin jambalnya ibarat pelengkap yg kecil tp cukup gurih meriah di mulut. Dan asin nya ga lebay.

Kalo sambal terasinya sih, termasuk juara lah. Amis haseum seger ladana lumayan ngajelebet.

Waktu pelayanan dr pesen sampe jadi, rasanya msh bisa diperQuick. Lama banget sih ga. Tp ga trlalu cpt jg. Apalagi wkt itu hanya kurang dr 5 meja yg lg order.

Kalo mamang2 Waiternya sopan lah, aman, no complain.

Utk harga, ditengah kota bandung di jalur kenangan seperti dago ya masih logis lah. Hanya klo bole saran, Ga usah pake pricing strategy jadul yg harga beverages nya malah di mark up trlalu tinggi. Kaya pgn cpt naek haji buru2, pdhl ga bisa, kan musim ppkm heee

Baiknya Order yg standar2 aja menunya atau sprti kami order paket namanya "paket Botram", biasanya akan lebih aman.

Kalo paket template gitu Harusnya ga akan gagal krn udh jd fast moving menu yg diulang2 trus masaknya, dan juga lebih cepet, harusnya.

Last but not least, Dago Panyawangan IMHO butuh peremajaan dr berbagai sisi. But we had a good time having dinner...
