My Kopi-O! Trunojoyo — Restaurant in Bandung City

Rather small parking area, occupying the same building with Hay Hotel. Sunlit room with big windows, quite comfortable and cheery place for breakfast. Here for breakfast around 8.45, weekday June 2019. Only several tables occupied, mostly by the hotel guests. However, they could not provide porridge in the breakfast menu, wonder why (since it's popular local bf menu). So I ordered Cheese Kaya Butter Toast 28.8K and a cup of Nanyang Kopi Kosong 22K. Service was good, 10-15 min. The coffee was strong and good, the toast warm and crispy. Kaya jam was just average, just a hint of sweetness with slight coconut aroma. The amount of kaya and cheese on the toast was just fine, maybe a bit more won't hurt. The toast edges were rather difficult to bite, and they provide the toast in four halves on a fancy cutting board without any cutlery. Thus the crumbs were going everywhere, not a good sight. Payed total 57K, rather high but still worth it. Will return sometime if only for the coffee and...

Kayaknya terakhir ke My Kopi-O 2 tahun lalu dan malam ini (karena bingung mau kemana) merapat disini bersama teman. Suasananya belum berubah, masih temaram syahdu tapi jadi lebih sepi dibandingkan sebelum Covid melanda.

Awalnya sih pengen ngopi sambil ngemil pastry doang, tapi ketika disodorin menu malah jadi pengen makan berat. Walhasil saya memesan 1 porsi Sop Buntut & segelas Ice Lychee Tea (minuman andalan dimanapun), sementara rekan saya memesan 1 porsi Iga Bakar & segelas Ice Lychee Tea.

Well, sambil nunggu pesanan, saya ngobrol" sama rekan yg baru kali pertama nongkrong disini. Saya ingat dulu tempat ini sempet happening banget, kl datang jarang dapet table sangking penuhnya, tapi sekarang jd sepi entah krn makin menjamurnya cafe/resto di sekitaran kawasan Trunojoyo atau ga tau juga kenapa.

Setelah menunggu sekitar 15 menit, pesanan sy diantar. Waiter nya ramah baik saat sy memesan maupun saat mengantarkan pesanan. Tapi ... sorry to say Sop Buntut nya di luar ekspektasi saya. Asli, kurang enak! Gurihnya kurang, seperti sop yg kurang bumbu / takut bumbu deh ... sampe saya harus minta garam minimal buat "nambah rasa". Dagingnya keras dan alot, sy ga ngerti masaknua gmn harusnya bisa dong di presto supaya daging bisa lepas dari tulang tanpa harus ada effort dari org yg mau makan. Saya sampe belepotan makan karena harus pake tenaga buat nyungkil daging, buat gigit daging bla bla ... zonk banget pilihan saya. Udah gitu kuahnya hangat suam kuku doang, boro" panas ... jd ya kena nasi udah ilang hangatnya. Kesel juga sih, harga lumayan mahal tapi rasa dan apa yg disajikan ga sebanding dgn apa yg harus saya bayar! Ice Lychee Tea nya juga pahit! Brasa minum teh tawar yg ada hiasan lychee di dalamnya. Asli bingung kenapa My Kopi-O jadi begini ya? So, saya harus minta gula cair kepada waiter dan gula cair pun baru diantarkan sekitar 30 menit kemudian. Kesel ga lo? Karena perut yg masih belum kenyang, sy order 1 croissant dgn toping milo / coklat. Saya harus menunggu 20 menit baru pesanan sy keluar. Selama itu! Padahal ga ada pengunjung yg baru datang / ada pengunjung yg order. Yg cepet disini hanya pada saat cashier datang sambil membawa invoice dan mesin EDC buat pembayaran 👏🏻👏🏻

Next time nongkrong lagi disini? Uhm, kayaknya sy harus mikir...

A great place to hang out, studying, meeting or just having a me time and drink coffee. The decoration it's so nice, has a industrial touch to it. Has 2 main room which is the indoor & outdoor for smoking area.

The price of the food and drinks is quite affordable and reasonable. The servings for their main course will filled up your hungry stomach. Their coffee also really good.

A little bit concerned on the waitresses tho, i think they needed more training to serve efficiently. One of the waitresses accidently spilled others order (that he bought in the same tray) when serving my friend drink. Just need to be more careful, also the response of the waitresses kind of bugging me a little. But overall, great experience :)
