I’ve been to Widuri Restaurant Bandung several times before and had decent experiences, but this visit was extremely disappointing and unacceptable.
I ordered es pisang ijo, and the banana was shockingly sour and hard in some parts completely off from how it should be. I called a waitress to raise my concern, and she took it to the kitchen. A few minutes later, another waiter brought back the exact same dessert, telling me the chef used “pisang nangka”, which is "a bit sour.”
With all due respect, as someone who has tasted countless versions of es pisang ijo, from premium to budget places, I can say with certainty this level of sourness and bad texture is not normal and not acceptable. I even asked the waiter to taste it himself, but he refused and offered no solution whatsoever. This kind of response is a clear failure in basic customer service.
It didn’t stop there. The beef tongseng I ordered had a strong, unpleasant smell very similar to goat meat. I honestly suspect it was mixed up or poorly handled. Then I received my iced coconut sugar drink, which was made with mature coconut, not the young coconut that was supposed to be used. On top of that, the drink arrived very late, despite the fact that I had reserved a table at 1 PM for iftar.
To make matters worse, some of my orders were only served more than one hour after ordering. I also noticed many other tables complaining loudly because their food and drinks hadn’t been served and it was already one hour past iftar.
To the management: You seriously need to take feedback like this to heart. If you want to build loyalty and keep customers coming back, you must uphold quality consistently in ingredients, taste, and most importantly, service. Just because your kitchen says “it’s fine” doesn’t mean it actually is. Ignoring complaints or giving copypaste answers is not the way to improve.
Which brings me to one last point: I looked at your Google Reviews, and it’s shocking how many customers are complaining about the food, the service, and delays.. yet your responses are all the same generic, robotic replies. Hear My Advice, READ & LEARN about (The 5 Golden Rules of Customer...

So sorry but as someone who tried many versions of es pisang ijo from premium to budget i can confidently say that this level of sourness and texture is not normal. I asked him to taste it first, but he refused to take any corrective action. This is quite disappointing because basic customer service should involve listening to complaints and responding accordingly, not just brushing them off.
To make things worse, the beef tongseng had a strange smell, almost like goat meat. I’m not sure if it got mixed up with the goat tongseng, but the scent was off putting. Then I ordered a coconut sugar iced drink, and the coconut served was clearly mature coconut, not young coconut as it should be. My message to the management: please take customer feedback seriously. If you want to build customer loyalty, maintaining consistent quality standards is a must from ingredients and taste to service. Just because the kitchen thinks something is “okay” doesn’t mean it’s acceptable for your customers. You need to listen, improve, and raise your quality if you want to grow as a restaurant. I ordered Nasi Timbel (rice with fried chicken, gepuk meat, and veggies), Grilled Prawn with Balinese sauce, and Fried Noodle. The food is delicious, with notable taste and texture of the gepuk, it's so meaty and juicy, along with the fresh prawn with the special balinese sauce. For drink I ordered STMJ (milk tea with egg and ginger), it's too sweet for me, and need a stronger ginger taste.
Too bad some of the initial menu I ordered are sold out, I was bit...
