Mitra Hotel is one of the classic old charmed hotel in Central Bandung, trying to catch up the new era .. located in strategic W.R Supratman street which is one of the main busy street in the middle of Bandung City, this hotel is trying to survive harsh competition in hospitality industry, surrounded many other hotels and guest houses nearby. Once famous for business/training trip hotel category decades ago, the hotel try to re-branding itself as now the hotel for family vacation. Staying here on Dec 2017 with family, I experience different vibe than my last stay here, almost 20 years ago back to college time :) .. the atmosphere are still classic in almost everything: the staffs, the elevator, the large rooms, the furniture and so on .. but still it is quite comfortable for family visit. It has a mini pool now which is child friendly, but the water are so cold and freezing. The restaurant menu are vary, but it relatively cheap and has good taste also. It has a good branded coffee shop on the 6th floor as an addition. The staffs are very helpful and communicative. The hotel room rates are also relatively cheap not very different from guest houses nearby with less facilities. The parking lots are limited, so make sure you have one before taken :). We stayed here only for one night, just to accompany our family visit from Jakarta. It is recommended for weekender tourist who want easy access to many tourism objects, restaurants and cafes nearby in city...

Towels were not provided for the superior room (which is a standard in all the hotels I've stayed in Indonesia so far).||||What was most disappointing was the food from the restaurant downstairs. I went downstairs the first day 9:30AM to find that most food trays were empty. I took some chicken and rice but found that the chicken was dry. The hotel staff didn't refill the empty food trays even though breakfast was meant to be until at least 10:00AM.||||I went downstairs the next day at 8:30AM for breakfast, hoping this time there will be food. Instead I found fruit flies flying all over the fruit and pastries. The food quality had no improvement either. I tried taking a piece of fruit with less flies on it but found that the fruit had a off taste to it.||||The only hope for food in this hotel is the level 6 "Morning Glory" restaurant, which I went to for the rest of my stay after giving up on the...
Read moreStayed for two nights in deluxe room. Deluxe rooms located in old wing, and smoking rooms are available here, not in new wing (superior rooms)||As old wing, its room is spacious, cleaned with bathtub. What I like from a room is its condition, well maintained, fresh smell, clean linen, big bed and I've got a good condition bed (though some reviews said about uncomfortable bed. ||Breakfast was good, elevator moved slowly (fast enough within its era), crowded parking space since Morning Glory cafe operate in a hotel.||Staff,..... they worked professionally, polite and fast enough. Really I like this old hotel and will be back again.||Last but not least, old fashioned in-room phone should be replaced with new ones OR keep it oldish but IN good...
