Adi-8 Chinese Food — Restaurant in Batam City

Excellent food and very friendly owner. The food is delicious and definitely value for money. The owner is a Indonesian Chinese and will be able to assist you in English/Chinese if you need help with the menu. My friend and I had black pepper crab, garlic onion chicken(must try), egg and 2 plate of rice as well as fresh coconut .. It all came to about close to INR 180000. The owner even helped us call a meter cab since it was late. The Restaurant is close to BCS mall but not walkable you would prefer to take a cab there. Decent Chinese Food in Batam.

To be honest, I had expectations for this place, especially after getting so many positive reviews on this place.

I ordered the garlic chicken (ayam goreng bawang), which is apparently their most popular dish. However, I was a little dissapointed once I ate it, because the chicken meat felt a little bit tough (difficult to chew).

I also tried the salted egg fried squid. The salted egg seasoning was spot on, but the squid felt rubbery.

Taste: Ayam goreng bawang putih - so delicious, must try in Batam!! Crispy and fragrant garlic with chicken. IDR 40000 Hotplate tofu - average, same cost as above which is not worth. IDR 40000 Sotong with salted egg - delicious as well, recommend to order. IDR 52000
