Gadeno New York Pizza & Steak — Restaurant in Batam City

Tried it this past Saturday. Was planning on giving them a 3-star review, but what they did towards the end of our meal was what put me off the most.

Their prices are definitely not on the low end, compared to other restaurants available on the same floor nearby. And their portion sizes/quantity is very less compared to what you would otherwise get.

A 'large' spicy cheese pizza was IDR 85,000, and the size of said pizza was anything but large. I'd say it felt more like a medium pizza. Definitely not worth the money. The taste of the base sauce was good, but there was barely any cheese on it. Most of the topping was towards the center. Little to no topping outwards. Despite this, the taste was decent.

However, when we were preparing to leave and had 2 slices of pizza left over that I asked them to pack for a takeaway along with some other food, the server refused to pack the pizza indicating that it was ordered under some 'promotion' and therefore, the leftover wasn't eligible for takeaway. That's a first for me, and I'm definitely never...

Tried this establishment when their staff approached my family walking past the outlet. At first look, the outlet looked well managed until the dishes reached our table.

We ordered 2 sets of lamb steak which were overly done. The meat tasted like rubber and we could barely swallow them after having hard time chewing it. It seemed like it was amateurishly prepared.

Next we ordered 1 chicken tom yam soup which tasted nothing like tom yam but more like 'lemak chili ayam soup'.

Next order was 1 stir-fried kway teow seafood which came more like hor fun. But this hor fun tasted non-fresh. The noodle obviously felt like just came out from the fridge. Most of the noodles were hardened and not freshly soft. It felt like vomiting.

The last order was 1 pan 'meat lover' pizza. It looked yummy but without a distinct taste of a pizza. Totally bland.

Paid about 400,000IDR plus drinks. Considered ok for Singaporeans. I wouldn't mind paying a bit more if the cuisines were professionally prepared and served.

Definitely not coming back....

At the beginning, all nice. We order 2 drinks, a small pizza, pasta and chicken. Drinks and pizza car fast. However , pasta and chicken were still not ready after one hour waiting. We remind 3 times but still nothing. We could see other customer ordering pasta 30 min after us already having the food. For us nothing.
