Sushi Rio Mega Mall — Restaurant in Batam City

This is a typical fast-food sushi restaurant that usually you see in a mall with conveyor belt for the additional than general menu. You can find almost all basic sushi menu in all restaurant from the sushi, sahimi, udon, yakiniku and others. Its place on the upper floor just above the ground floor that usually people use for live events make this place in random time will be buzzing with live music, cheers and scream so if you need quiet place, make sure you do observation first. Reservation in front is not really necessary as this place not really pack with people in weekdays, but once again you need to check first. The range for the place in conveyor range between 10K to 25k in IDR if not mistaken. This place is dominated with bright yellow color and quiet comfortable seating. but about the taste, it's a matter of personal. SOme will say this place is OK while the others will consider more than that. you need to experience yourself. But once agian...it is nice to have an option of sushi place that is friendly to the pocket.

Don't be fooled by the menu and somewhat pleasant deco of the sushi place !! The sushi pictured on the menu looks good , but the actual ones were Nothing like it !!!!! I had the pepper kani sushi , the crabstick feels like it has been cooked and placed outside for 2 or 3 days 😖

They also have a promo for ramen - I had the spicy Chicken ramen & it tasted like they spammed all the chilli oil into the noodle soup ; it was So spicy it becomes inedible !!! 😖

The day we went , the Salmon was out of stock , the Avocado stuff was out of...

Avoid if you value your time, money, stomach and head space.

Took 45 minutes to serve near instant food - Ramen, katsu and curry rice. Worse they serve it 15 minutes apart, arriving cold everyone of it cold. The iced ocha is brown water.

Biggest win of all is the packed sushi carousell that looks like stuff has been standing there for hours.

I didn't have high expectations but strike me with lightning from your gods - this was one of the most regretable "restaurant" experiences I have had. Left annoyed and wished we didn't make this random choice..
