This is a Padang-chinese fusion restaurant. The place seems like a popular old reputable establishment and a must try to dine in in Medan. Comfortable dining place and fully air conditioned. The place feels pretty clean and has a decent number of visitors even on weekdays!
I love the overall food quality but i want to highlight their ayam goreng pohon pisang is superb! You can order them vacuum-packed to stock on at home which i did (that’s how good it is). It’s perfectly seasoned and tender, with a very subtle aromatic herbs.
The terong sambal ebi shrimp is perfectly cooked with a wok hei aroma and juicy eggplant. The seasoning and ebi is very generous thus a good punch flavor. We added the nasi bakar (grilled rice) and its really good too. Overall the food and atmosphere feels very comforting and ‘homey’
