Bamboo Beach Bar & Lounge — Restaurant in Denpasar Selatan

Sadly the sign out the front Memories are made with us does not clarify what sort of memory.

Our friends took us here today as they had visited a couple of days ago and it was quite good.

Sadly today far from it.

Out of 5 courses 2 were acceptable. The others were disappointing.

The Steak was overcooked and a lot of fat. The Sate chicken had grizzle. The Ayam Ketchup dish the chicken was very dry.

To be fair the Bruschetta and the Hot Dog all be it the bun was too small for the sausage both were ok.

Drinks also were delivered relatively quickly and cold.

Atmospere was great.

I felt sorry for the table staff so this is why i must do this honest review. Please take this as a need for improvement required.

This is a really nice quirky bar with swinging seats very tastefully set up on an amazing clean beach and crystal clear water, great for swimming here. There are couches both in front of the bar and on the beach in the evening and they have live music here. It was a reggae band taking requests when I went there. However watch your money here I was quite clear about a discussion and in the end my bar bill cost me 35 percent more than I was told during happy hour. I would pay as you go then there are no hiccups at the end. Apart from that it is not the cheapest bar be aware but they have a massive choice of drinks available. Visited for a relaxed bite and drinks. Started with a couple of mocktails, but unfortunately they were quite light on flavour—more pretty than punchy.

The Quattro pizza was a pleasant surprise: light, tasty, and that touch of real pineapple added a lovely balance.

Then came the seafood platter, which missed the mark for me. The crumb was super thick and overwhelming, masking the actual seafood and leaving me wishing I’d stopped at the pizza.

A heads-up on pricing: the bill came with nearly 80K IDR in taxes alone, which felt steep given the overall experience.
