Tootsie Beach Bar & Restaurant — Restaurant in Denpasar Selatan

Went here on Saturday noon. It was empty, then people start coming in around 2pm or 3pm. The place is nice, just typical seaside restaurant with cute decoration. They have promo 20% off for all food and drink and some other promos (brochure attached). The food and drink are presentable and it taste delicious too. I tried their Potato Skin (small plate) and Mie Goreng. Both taste good. The only thing missing from Mie Goreng is the crunchiness of the kerupuk (crackers), not sure if its because of how they stored it or because of its being put right away nearby the hot noodles. But other than that, I like it. The staffs were also attentive. They checked on me to ask how was the food. Beautifully renovated and completley revamped. Food honestly was only so so and somewhat expensive for what was presented. I had potato skins to start at 35k ++ . Consisted of 4 X 1/2 baby potato skins with bacon and sour cream. Very very small starter, also disapointingly soggy. My wife had the Nachos, 35k ++ but very very good and a decent size serving. Mains were fish and chips, again average, small serve and burnt soggy batter, 70k ++. Other main was ceaser salad 65k ++, again disapointing, Romane lettuce, small poached egg, croutons and 3 bacon strips for price very disapointing Having eaten here consistently for 7 years this is not the tootsie restaurant I know and love. I don't mind the prices but I hate leaving both feeling hungry and disappointed at 320k including water and a coconut. I pray the food goes back to how it used to be, quality, cheap...

Would have given it 5 starts except for the lumpia (spring rolls). Tooties, IMO, use to have the best lumpia in Bali. Because of covid, its been a while since our last visit to Bali. First stop on our return was Tootsie to have some lumpia. What a disappointment with what they are serving now. No longer the delicious filling, no longer the tasty wrap around the filling.
