Just to clarify, Warung Made Weti is the same venue as Warung Nasi Ayam Bu Weti. There may have been a name change somewhere along the lines of the original owner passing away. You are in for an absolute treat if you experience the delicious street food from this vendor.
Get in early to beat the rush cause every bite is worth it. One of my favourite places to eat traditional and authentic food in Sanur. Street food is not for the faint hearted, but when in Bali tick this eatery off your bucket list. If you’re in the neighbourhood, I highly recommend. My partner and I road a scooter to the beachside eatery (many parking spots available in front of venue) and stopped at this place for breakfast. Flavours are like nothing you can compare to in Melbourne - unless you’re fortunate enough to have home cooked Balinese meals. The people are friendly and to the best of their ability use their limited English to guide you through every dish. Good serving sizes left me full for hours and walking distance from...
Read moreOne of the few warungs in Denpasar that still holds on to its authenticity. The menu is simple, the one and only Nasi Campur Ayam. The portion is just right, and the signature sides like urap timun, crispy chicken skin, and sambal make it special.
Some people comment about hygiene since the servers don’t use gloves, but honestly that’s part of the authentic charm for me. The server only handles the food anyway, and of course, if hygiene is a concern, you can always choose not to eat here 😊
The downsides are definitely the limited seating and the chaotic queue system. And I understand if you’re hungry and still have to wait in line, it can be annoying. But again, that’s kinda the part of the experience that makes this warung unique 😁
As a local, I find Men Weti truly special. Somehow it has that nostalgic taste that keeps me coming back whenever I pass through Sanur. Sure, improvements wouldn’t hurt, but let’s just enjoy it as it is. At IDR 25–30k per portion, I’d say it’s still...
Read moreJust in point form : The price is looks like follow your skin color. The way the food is prepared is dirty. The service is super sucks and the owner is so unfriendly. The dining condition and experience is super terrible for the price you pay, service you get and the taste. Taste is just normal imho - nothing to shout about; only thing is the veges are fresh. For the tonnes of monies they make each day for so many years, they could not even care less of investing in a nicer place to eat, sit and serve. Imagine just 2 or 3 donkey tables. Does not even bother prepare proper tables for the customers. Customers have to sit on the plastic stool and hold the plate to eat. No place to wash hands and no toilet.
It's a warung, we get it but for the prices they charge, they dont even provide basic warung facilities to customers.
JUST ANOTHER GREEDY "RESTAURATEUR"...
